ok guys, how many of you have read this - RMT Uncovered: The Interview. I only recently got my hands on this stuff and frankly got terrified.
If at least 50% of that is true then situation in EVE is horrible. My key worry here is that it completely ruins the point of playing the game, because the game in effect exploiting all the honest players and using resources which they gather for PVP fun needs of those who bot.
It should be relativelly difficult to acquire certain resoruces and economy should balance itself out, that includes wars, and all other implications of economic interactions.
Now lets have a look what happens when there is small minority of people who use bots on such big scale. Honest players farm modules, mine resources, build ships etc. And bots get all those things from them for free and use it for their own fun. With this knowledge in mind, being an honest players I really have no interest whatsoever to play the game. Its not a sandbox, its a voluntarily slavery in favor of botters.
What is ACTUALLY going on behind the scenes ?

How does a bot get things from a real player for free?
Can bots literally steal things straight out of another players collection of stuff?

CCP is a business.
Bot operators pay, one way or another, monies into CCP's bank account in real life.
Unless and until the Bot operator's activities begin causing a loss of real world revenue, nothing will change.
From a purely business standpoint, why should it?
Profits are up, and continue to rise.
In the business world, that means, in big, screaming neon letters, LEAVE THINGS ALONE.
You want bots to go away?
Make the cost CCP real world monies more than they are providing.

I am really looking forward to the new forums, with a search function that works.
This issue is a major issue sir, and it has been discussed here a lot.
In the future, anytime you want to start a new post, especially one about an article over a day old, check to make sure others haven't done it yet. Best regards, Apollo Gabriel

CCP should disable that link in the OP. That site is:
-maintained by known RMTers (ironic) -harvests personal information of site visitors -a likely security breach if anyone is dumb enough to actually give it information
