Originally by: Mistress D'Malice It boggles me that people are actually expecting those monies to be divided in some way.
We gave Foyle the control...we gave Foyle the trust. No one wanted to take over the job when she tried to quite...no one could be bothered.
We have to live with our own laziness...its no ones fault, including Foyles, but our own.
So- what you're saying is:
If a CFO of a company, took a dip in the funds of a company they worked at- indeed- responsible to protect. It is the fault of the shareholders that they put the person in a place where they could walk away with the cash?
Ken Lay of Enron needs to fire his legal team- why didnt they think of this defence??? Blame the shareholders for 'letting' him steal!
Accountability anyone?
When a company decides to split up- usually what happens is, the assets are sold off and the creditors (eg. shareholders) receive funds to renumerate them. What people are expecting isnt actually that unexpected. Without miners there would be no ISK. Without PvP'ers there would be no security for miners to mine to make isk. PvP'ers also mined- I might add- due to necessity.

Edited by: Mistress D'Malice on 22/01/2005 00:50:54 Ok...I am saying this.
When you are forced by the US goverment to contribute to a Social Security system, can you ever go back to the goverment and say, "Hey, I am leaving the US now...can I get my money?"
No one STOLE anything...the miners were taxed because YOU said they werent helping defend the area. NOW you want a share of the minerals that someone else contributed?
As I have said before, show me system that will fairly split the minerals/monies collected so that all parties who contributed get an equal share in return and then perhaps I can see your point. But to ask for a share of monies YOU had nothing to do with collecting or never contributed too in the first place is simple insanity.
The Alliance is gone...let it go.
And so as not to flame anyone, 'YOU' isnt anyone specific. Black Lotus Official Forums - www.blacklotusclan.com Contact Me - [email protected] |

I talked to Foyle about the funds.
They will be left on a Char in the CA holding corp, in hibernation untouched. They are about 12 - 13 billion, maybe a bit more, with 7bn in cash and the rest in high ends.
Perhaps one day they will be put to use (if CA is oneday reestablished), but it we thought that this was the assets of CA the entity, which was always greater than the sum of its parts, and not the assets of the member corps.
Face the fact that once you crash out of an alliance, you lose all claim to its assets. Once all the corps left, rather than tackle the thorny issue of which corps got ISK (some of the corps, VOTF for example, were KOS to the remnant of CA that remained), it makes more sense to leave the ISK where it is.

A different perspective, if I may. I watched Foyle working hard at resolving issues, trying to come up with answers and trying to delegate funds appropriately. The accounting system in CCP is flawed (real time bean counter here) for Alliance responsibilities, even with the new set up.
What *I* kept thinking is how easy it would be for my own Corp mates to wonder about what I do. Is my information accurate, do I really own this, did I really resolve that? It makes me nervous on a daily basis and I go out of my way to keep everyone in the know as to what I do. I HAVE that luxury since it is just among the corp.
Just think about it for a moment though...how many of us are in these positions of trust that could just as easily have the finger pointed in our direction?
I can't really think that Foyle took the funds for herself despite our different views in the game. I know she took on the responsibility and with it comes the liability of always being at risk of being mistrusted.
That's the price for those high honor jobs. BS work, responsibility, heart ache and a very good chance that one day you will look like the bad guy.
This usually happened when someone doesn't get their way.
I don't know if this helps any and I've tried to stay as neutral and honest in my statements as possible. Forgive me if I hadn't succeeded on this goal.

Edit- by all the "were" and "we" parts of that i mean CA as a whole.
Again: I believe that ALL corps of substance that were in the CA should get a share. PERIOD.
agreed. I had suggested it but by then everthing had fallen apart to far for it to go anywhere.

no, by the rules after they had pulled all thier stuff out they wouldnt be allowed in CA space. If they were in CA after the 7 days then it was those persons left, decision to fire on them or not. In the end it happend so fast it never came to that. Im glad it didnt too with any of the corps.

Pal you said a mouth full right here. She certainly did look out for those who looked out for her. They all are together with 13 billion by your own admission. The reason most people left was the fact she had no accountability and just took over everything. I see that some of the people were all for it but the majority that counted ie the PvPers did not. We all left due to her and her ideals. The way I can prove that the majority did not agree with it and the ones that counted is by simply pointing to the map at this time. Curse Space and the stations are now owneed by hostiles of the 'EX-CA" Foyle broke down the alliance and not by hersself as she had others that helped in tearing it apart and they all remain one rich happy family which makes me so sick to my stomach.

Well, I have nbot said anything via the forums about it to date but this kinda blows my skirt up. We as an alliance all contributed to it equally small corps large corps etc. This is the mindset of a truly inept thought process as the saying goes your only as strong as the weakest link and it holds true.

You are completely off base pal. Some people lost ships and never had one thing replaced due to not being on "Foyle's" good side perhaps you were ont he receiving end of moneies but others were not so lucky.
One more thing it was only battleships what about the many gank and ghost ops in interceptors assault ships cruisers frigates that were used in the protection of catch which in essence protected the retard miners that sucked up all the rescources and sold in empire or to a select few and left others out in the cold to fend for themself while trying to protect the "ALLIANCE".
Plenty of people took the shaft and got tired of it hence no more CURSE ALLIANCE AS THE EVE Universe knew it. If you all were as good a people as you say you were then take each corp that was in Curse alliance and say it was 10 corpse and their was ten billion send 1 billion to each corp and be done with it and put an end to it all. Go back one month pre-CA breakup and count those corps. It may not be billions per corp but certainly will be the gesture that counts. I think that anyone who would keep those funds is sincerly a world wide pile of garbage and deserves not to be mentioned any further but simply killed none stop until they feel the only option is to either 'DO THE RIGHT THING' and send it to those corps or quit the game completely.

Look, Foyle never took anything from CA...except a ton of grief from idiots like Anue/Zelota/Fats and KoC *****ing about everything she did or didnt do, yet NONE OF THEM stood up and offered to Council an alternative course of action or system. No one had a problem with what she was doing UNTIL she wanted to be a War General...then all the egos get bent and everyone got ****y.
Again, you explain a system where the people who contributed to the system get a fair and equal share and I can see your point. Until then this is all, "lets blame Foyle for us being morons".

I just did that and yo are apparently not willing to do as you said.
13 BILLION in minerals and isk. Take all the corps say that were either in the alliance over a month or not even if you want to give to them as well but take all the members pre breakup during the period of the ca holding fund and distribute it out equally to all corps regardless of size. This is fair to all and a way to certainly make it right and not prove the people you mentioned right.
One more thing FatBalls I can speak for did not jump on any bandwago as everyone knows he rides no ones coat tails and certainly thinks for himself regardles of the popular.
He wanted accountability and it was not given. The only thing he got was put on probation for asking for it.

I am sorry but what does If youve been to stupid muppet to reead mean ? I must be stupid as I thought this post was writte in english and apparently i do not understand it and ffs its my first language...
Hey why use the alt ?
Another alt added to the address book. I will find all of them Foyle and will have a alt in every station with them and waiting for the right time to collect that 200 million bounty.
One more thing why would'nt AOI receive anything from the alliance ? They took back the station single handed with only 2 members online 15 times in one night for the Curse alliance while being outnumbered 2 to 10 and AOI won. They did this many times and also mined a couple times to replace losses as THE ALLIANCE NEVER REPLACED ONE SHIP FOR THEM. To keep fighting for the cause with nothing to gain but getting a cax in the back.'
We all know it is you Foyle as you just posted on the other thread with your main then all the sudden this response right after rofl ya knob.
