Was curious to see how much the +3 attribute implants were going for nowadays and was shocked to say the least. Cheapest I saw was 98mil for an intel one with all others going for 100mil+ (Tash-Murkon region).
Now I'm not complaining as I have a full set already which I bought way back for around 25-30mil for the full set, but I'm just curious as to why the prices have gone through the roof now. Have agents stopped giving them out now? or are the sellers just getting greedy again?
Surely these "basic" implants should be sold on the market by npc corps by now with the agents rolling out the +4's and +5's etc.

Implants are a Luxury. Not a necessity.

its only supply and demand. If people are willing to buy at high prices, thats what people will sell at.
If everyone refused to buy implants then the prices would drop

The way implants work now, they won't drop past a certain level.
Implants seem to require stuff worth multiple millions, so it's very unlikely they can drop back to the old prices with the system as is.

Implants with an attribute bonus reduce the learning time. If you have used implants since the beginning, because they didn't cost 100 million isk, then some of your skillpoints are only there because of this fact. And then you don't have the right to say something like: "Newbies don't need implants. They are something for the rich."

I would be happy if my lvl 4 agent would offer up some implants heck I'd be happy with a 1+! All I ever get is stupid offers xxxx amount of drugs for 125mm rail! Woot....not. My LP's are kind of spread out I admit it but I have atleast 25k to 30k on my lvl 4 agent. Where are the magic agents that give offers for implants and the magic loot cans of doom with implants?
I was low on cash pre exodus so I always sold my implants I got missioning which were a heck of a lot cheaper than they are now. I miss the old way atleast then we had access to them. Now its once in a blue moon or cough up 100mil or more. Jeez I wish I had of atleast kept a int and mem implant =( Could really use em now with the skills I am training.

Newbies can train the advanced learning skills to speed-up training. Therefore people playing since start should get a few additional Mil of SP's because they couldn't use them from start ?? A game like this changes, you'll like some of the changes, and you'll hate some others, that's just the game.

I see implants as a way of making pod-kills more worthwhile. At the same time I have a rather nifty set in my own brain, and wouldn't want to loose any chance of getting them back if the server screws up as I die --

or.. the poor noob figures out how to get implants without paying the insane prices, and instead starts selling them to players with billions, thats what i did in my first couple of months. I agree that it might be a bit harder now but the rewards are also higher.

I don't run a lot of agent missions, but supposedly if you get 10K loyalty points with an agent, they start offering implants.
Anyone know if this is true? __________________________________

Yes. But you don't just get one for 10k LP, you must bring 500 High tech items (and some other stuff) and you can only get those as reward for LP. So you will probably buy them from others that got them that way. And since people know what you want them for and with the crazy implant prices that we have now, they will ask for a lot of ISK for them. And the circle is closed.

Don't tell me you're complaining that it's not profitable to sell implants. __________________________________
