And there i was thinking this was just an update to the already deployed expansion... 1.2gigabytes of update later.... seriously get better compression tools perhaps?

oh yeah mr Dev. I still havent received my corpse launcher for unwanted cluttered corpses in my cargo holds.. an idea i put forward 3 years ago which still hasnt come to light.. seriously why cant we just launch corpses at our enemies??? the mechanics would be easy plus it would disintegrate the corpse when it hit another players hull thus freeing up the database by another 0.3%....

Lol its got nothing to do with hard drive size its called some of us live in countries where copper line internet is still the happy medium and best speeds is around 300-500k which at that speed is roughly an hour or two depending on how overloaded the server gets... compression technology in software compression has advanced to almost pack data 80%+ of its original. so please CCP  get better compression software and give us slow downloaders a break.

I estimate that within the next 15 to 45 minutes the Master database will crash resulting in a 2 hour downtime with a 400mb hotfix. Also i estimate that 32% of worldwide downloaders of the current patch will suffer from corrupt installations and have to reinstall from scratch. i also estimate that to access to the web forums or account management will take 2-3 attempts at login and posts will be delayed by up to 3-5minutes. This always happens when CCP rush things without proper QA.
