Man I hope so. The wait is killing me. (literally. Had to take meds so my slavegirl could keep my busy while I wait. A man can only handle soo much at one time you know?)

Originally by: Epa C This is a little confusing, I know it says dont download a patch till they say its ready, but why will it let you download a patch
Surely is better to NOT release any patch until its the final one
It has to do with the mechanics of how networking works. They can't test the servers without the patch being released and they can't release the patch without internet connectivity being active (since not all the servers sit in the same building).

If you started the download before 1500 then that is your problem right there. They specifically stated not to start the patch until 1500. Read the notes people!

Does anybody else have this issue?
Give it a few minutes. It should come up. A friend of mine thinks it's due to servers being overloaded with character editors. His came up after he let it sit for about 5 minutes or so.
If that doesn't work right logging out and back in and see if that helps.

I started when CCP said the patch was up at the beginning of this thread. It is CCP who have wasted hours of my life because they did no testing.
Yeah, they said the patch was up. And they also said not to download it.
10:10 UTC Please refrain from downloading any preliminary patches or clients until we announce that the final build is complete. Downloading an early patch which is subsequently rebuilt may result in you needing to download another full client which will be frustrating. We will announce when the final build is complete.
16:00 UTC Downtime has been extended to 16:15 UTC.
UpdateTranquility is now open and accepting connections. Fly safe!
Next time read the freakin' notes.

Please try to have some slight clue to what is going on - "13:50 UTC The patch is now available for download. As usual, you can do it from the game or download one manually here."
THAT you [CENSORED] person is when I began downloading the patch that doesn't verify. If you actually read the forum you'd know many (all?) Mac users who did the same are stuck with the same verification failure.
That's typical for MAC users. Always impatent. You MAC users always have to be first. This is what you get.

It's 'Mac'. And 'impatient'. Also please learn to read. CCP said "13:50 UTC The patch is now available for download. As usual, you can do it from the game or download one manually here. "
THAT is when we started downloading and wasting our time. Still, if you can't even spell, I suppose reading is out of the question too...
you said you were downloading for several hours. that wasn't several that was a few dude. and ok, I lost an I when I was typing. The MAC was intentional
