thats you issue. it not a dedicated GPU, while the GM45 graphic will do HD movies and stuff ok they realy do suck for any type of gaming.
in the future if you ever gone buy a laptop the most important spec you can look at is CPU and Graphics (GPU) as they are none upgradable -------------------------------- http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1370931&page=1 ------ |

Originally by: Lutra Kohaku This is not just a PC issue. I use a Mac OS X (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR2, with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M).
The Character Creation interface is absolutely unusable- so laggy and choppy that any sculpting by design is impossible. I've never had a problem playing the client on this system.
So- CCP... is there a fix in the future for this? I don't want to play with lame looking character shots... but if you're only going to give one chance for character creation, with a limited time window, some of us are pretty much screwed.
theres another **** graphics card and if its a mac i bet its screen is silly rez and playing at the rez on that card would suck ass. and its not physX that causing the isssue most graphics card from 8800GTX, 260GTX, 350/360GTX etc.. do it as standard. it just people buying machines with crap graphics cards.
Tip: Go install eve on a Good pc if you can do the character creation there once its done you don't need to worrie about it. It will then run fine again on you low end systems -------------------------------- http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1370931&page=1 ------ |

Edited by: sukmanobov on 19/01/2011 03:09:16 tbh i was more getting at mac user thinking there machine is the dogs *******s because it says MAC wasn't personal :( if it sounded that im sorry (i sell Mac's / PC's for a living i see that atitude all the time)
+ people giving wrong help about it being physX. Yes the spec are not correct if the indeed added physX support.
should read more like
Minimum System Requirements: òOS: Windows« XP Service Pack 2 / Vista / 7 òCPU: Intel Pentium 4« or AMD 64 @ 1,5 Ghz or greater which supports SSE2
òRAM: XP (SP2) û 2 GB / Vista û 4 GB / Win7 - 2GB òHD space: 6gig Free Space òNetwork: Broadband with 2mbps connection or higher òVideo: 256 MB Shader Model 2.0 Graphics cards such as GeForce 8 series class card or higher, ATi 4xxx series or higher and Similar chips from other manufacturers òDrivers: DirectX« 9.0c (included) and latest video drivers òDVD-ROM : 2 speed DVD reader or greater required. Hence the entire game - including the character creator - should run fine on said machines.
Period.
Saying, "your machine suxx0rz, buy a better one!" is highly inappropriate.
On the other hand, those system requirements probably haven't been updated in years. With new features being added to the game... CCP should probably re-examine what minimum requirements are to play the game effectively. I'm on WinXP and I can tell you with 100% certainty that 1 GB of RAM won't cut it. On the other hand, I'm owndering why it says I need a "DVD-ROM : 2 speed DVD reader or greater required," when I've never even *seen* an EVE DVD.
