I have to admit, I am sitting here in a pile of glee looking at all the new faces. I just saw Chribba's and smiled, thinking he did a really great job. I have also seen a few other close friends who I've seen and I'm just tickled pink, to say the least. I have to say, for the most part I am very impressed with the community's job at recreating their avatars.
I have no gripes so far.
But CCP, get rid of the wandering eyes in portrait mode. It's really difficult to get the avatar to look at the camera.

I also have to act scandalized about my avatar's hair clipping through the clothing on the server-side render, while client-side it was working peachy. Also, the facial expression on the captured portrait is not exactly the same (close enough though) to the one on the client. In fact, everything looked better client-side in spite of CCP's alleged promise that the server-side rendering would be done at higher resolutions and yada yada yada.
Overall though, not TOO bad. _

tbh I hate new faces I've been seeing lol
ok just most.
Too much variation in distance to camera, angles etc. Don't know why but that bugs me most.

Thanks, personally I think I look like crap, and wish I could have my old face back.

That bugs me as well, but mostly since I clicked save, looked at the forums, and then realized I should've probably zoomed the camera in a bit more.

My character went from a neat long haired relentles cool looking Male of the Intaki - to this short haired and boring looking individual.

Rather different from the old one, though. Have to relearn that pattern recognition now.
But yes, there are some oddities happening between the posing mode, the "photo" (seems they have rather different FoVs still), and the server render. I'm pretty sure those cheek bones are not where I put them.
àso, anyway: where's that third one we get confused with? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Yup, I did the same mistake. Zoom ftw And I also got something on my shoulders after saving the portrait. I really hate that.

I wasn't a great fan of the clothing options available in this release, all a bit generic and limited so I opted for a full face capture of Jade gazing thoughtfully to the voids of space.
I guess it'll do until incarna now :)

I like it Chribba. :(
Still, if anyone deserved to have CCP create your face for you to match the old one, it's you.
Still... In this game of internet SPACESHIPS (Key word being SPACESHIPS), I am amazed at the Nerdrage at this.
