I'm highly disappointed in the options of clothing, and hair styles an Amarrian Female has :(
Over four hours to create this limited by some unusual options, eyes and facial manipulation. While I'm somewhat contempt with this avatar I find my Caldari and Galentte avatars will be more attractive. I guess that's what you get for being Amarrian..

I like yours a lot, I was trying to go for something similar but with dark brown hair over black. I SOOO wanted that Black Jacket you have on, and the pants from Galentte set.
Thank you, a lot of time was dumped on her, and it went though LOTS of alterations. When taking the portraits I think I went back about seven times to play with hair, eyes and makeup again because it looked out of place etc..
I like perfection and I even loaded her in Anaface to make sure her structure was correct etc. Really anal retentive She scores a 9.61 out of 10 on Anaface.com.
The clothing options are HORRIBLE!!! Nasty browns or light greens. The pants are all "baggy" apart from two of them.. I sound like a freaking girl!! AHHH!

You get a 8/10 from me. I feel your pain, a natural smile is hard to achieve, I noticed it when I created mine. I have a Gallante female and it looks so much more natural.

Originally by: Yalawni But seriously, though I enjoyed creating my new avatar really what is the point since once I have created it the largest version of it I am ever going to see again is the one that is top left of my Skills window... and as for everyone elses?
Need a way to view our own and other peoples avatars in a larger size after creation imho.
I took about 20 screen shots from different angles cloths and unclothed all at 1920x1050, close up faces and everything. I did it so I could get a sense of overall look etc. When I got in game I noticed the "Take Portrait" option was missing. This is how you would a nice high-res of anyone. I'm glad I took a heap of highres shots now :) Something to keep as evidence of hours worth of enjoyment playing around :)
And you are a beautiful person too, :) You may try to hide it with odd haircut and glasses(Which are not an option for Amarr) but I can tell you spent a lot of time on your avatar.

See you have a really pretty face and it's not because it's Asian, it suits very well. I get the impression each race was given some underlaying bone structure and limitations. As I play with the other avatars I noticed I can achieve particular look much easier. When as the Amarrian it was impossible. I could be wrong but after spending the time I have I noticed little differences.
Aikawa Mina - Shoes where odd! None of them look any good :( And with baggy material pants, every single one of them has the pant legs over the shoe was the only way to make them looked acceptable. Which makes sense, you would never tuck your pant let into your boots/shoes. Why that is the default option must be a Icelandic thing.

Originally by: St Reddy Yours is good, but you shouldn't go for that much make up. She's looking more suitable without it, I think. But that's for me...
I don't like make-up either, but there for a reason. For some reason the eyes are very deep set in. If you look at your nose and then mine. You can see my nose is significantly larger. This isn't by choice, and it's why I totally believe there are different bone structures for different races. Believe it or not that is as small as I could make my nose. I even tried to emulate a smaller nose by raising the cheek bones but, they only sunk the eyes in more.
It wasn't until I put the make up on and tried to match as close to the color of skin as possible did the eyes appear to come out more. Skin color is also an issue, I had choice of white, whiter, totally void of sunlight white, this choice. Since I didn't want a hermit or emo looking character I had to choose this odd orangish tone. This actually dictated my hair color which was disappointing too. The lips, and blush are so down on color I think it's only 2 or 3 level off the lowest setting. The eye shadow etc is also light only about 4-5 levels above zero. Any lighter and it was sinking in the eyes, any heavier, it looked cheap street walker.
I can imagine an Amarrian would make an AWESOME EMO character because of the totally void of sunlight white skin color, deep set narrow eyes with black hair, black eye liner.. too bad the choice of clothing just wouldn't match :/

LOL that's good to know :)
If you get the option to re-make or something and you want it more buch men have have these features which make them look manly.
Wide jaw Predominant chin, not Jay Lenno but larger/wider. Lips are closer to the nose. Nose is often wider/thicker but not really larger, just more dense. Brow is significantly larger then females, and usually closer to the eyes Eyes are smaller, or not as open.
The definiation of "manly" when it comes to facial structure for a male are people like Silvester Stallone Nathan Fillion John Travolta George Clooney
All wider squarish faces, wide brow that sits close to the eye, larger nose and wide larger chin :)
That's of cause if you really want to go transgender

Yes, that's actually not too bad. The little picture on the forum doesn't do it any justice. But when clicked on yeah I can see him in here. My only male character I have I'm going to try shoot for a Patrick Stewart, or a Nathan Fillion (Firefly version not Castle version).
Since he is my hauler. Not sure which one yet it depends on what I can get out of bones/muscles :)
@Dominatrix Distraction
Oh good god! Name matches so it gets 10..

Edited by: SencneS on 20/01/2011 17:47:36 @Thermal Wolf You got a 9/10 from me for that. You went for dark and everything matches up great.
@Trisha Tyranny Taron Now that's a Proud Strong Black Woman right there. But I have to pull some points because of the camera position. 9/10 for the pose, the character etc. but 7/10 for the picture, camera perspective is too low.

LOL I see it now to.. On the collarbone
Are they letting anyone reset their character? To be honest I can't see why they don't just allow us to go in and change it anyway. Hell I think I'd pay $5 every time for a character makeover.

Well then I'm going to head home tonight and push out my alts play with them to see if I can really get them going. I may change a couple of things around on this one just to see, change a little coloring maybe play a little, taken into account what people have said here.

Originally by: Irani Firecam Yes, very ugly.
9.5/10 from me as well, because the smile looks a little fake. I played around with smiling with teeth showing and this is pretty good, but if you get the chance to redo, pull the lower eyelid up the eye a little in the studio, not the editor.
When everyone smile wide or happy like this it pushes the cheeks up which naturally push the lower eyelid up. This closes the eye a little, and makes the lower lash line more flat. You'll get a much better effect if you move the lower lid up the eye a little, doesn't need to much, just a little.
Another trick with the studio is the jaw - it has a little play left and right, try moving to the right(her left), it'll suck in the right cheek a little, and pull on the lower lip left side bring it up just little. It might look funny, it's hard to tell without doing it, but I noticed the tests I did with the mouth in the studio the desired effect could be obtained by moving the jaw to one side or the other.
But this is one of the better Avatar Portraits I've seen, really well done..

Just remember the last time we get to play with our Avatars you want the editor version of yourself to be looking the best. I noticed as I was playing around you can make an incredible attractive portrait by adjusting face structures to suite the portrait. But back in the editor, you just, look, FUGLY!
When Incarna comes around, it'll be the editors look and feel that we'll see in game, not the "polished, well lit portrait" photo. My portrait is blandish, but I wasn't going for cute, but more professional, flight school graduating photo ID, picture. I wanted young(hard to do as a true-blood Amarr) Aryan race looking, sharp facial features with a little bit of smugness but not ugly. Very National Socialist German Workers' Party feel and style about it.
I mean I am a member of the oppressive, Amarrian race, and a True Blood Amarrian should be as close to PURE as possible.

Edited by: SencneS on 21/04/2011 18:40:41 Probably the last Avatar I will attempt for this character for a long time.
She is Amarr/Amarr, Seemed impossible to achieve for a while, a young attractive Amarr/Amarr female was pretty unobtainable
