Our Singularity test server will be offline for an extended period of time during the deployment of the server side DUST 514 integration as announced here. Singularity will be inaccessible for EVE clients from 15:00 UTC on August 17 for several days. Due to the complexity of this task the downtime for Singularity might be extended (or shortened) - we will keep you informed and updated in this thread.
During this downtime EVE players cannot connect to the Singularity test server.
This is a large step towards the full integration of DUST 514 into the New Eden Universe and a major milestone as this will be the first time that we deploy DUST 514 and EVE Online on a public test server, so we eagerly anticipate your feedback on performance and defects.

We haven't published patch info yet guys. You couldn't get on to the server even if we had. I will give you some info tomorrow, sorry for the delays.

Hi folks,
Our cluster team want to keep the server closed to EVE players until Monday, so that we can accurately triage and handle any load issues we get over the weekend. So, we will be open for your entertainment at some time Monday morning. I'm sure some of you are upset by this, and we apologise for the outage. In better news, I can let you know that we do indeed have an updated mirror for you, taken around the 10th of August.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. It sounds like you think you are entitled to access to a test server as part of your subscription fees. Test servers are for CCP to test as they please. It exists for testing. Testing what? Whatever they want. You should have no expectation to access. Sure, it might suck for you. But the indignation is unwarranted.
Basically this. I even apologised for the inconvenience, which I did not out of obligation but out of genuine feeling. If you understood the first thing about the difference between Duality and Singularity you would understand that this is impossible.
Also it's 10 days. 27-17=10.

No to bonus SP, masstest bonus SP is probable (it wont be automatically applied though) depending on what Habakuk wants to do.
I am doing great, thanks very much for asking and I hope you're well yourself. Sisi has had some bumps in the early merging process but now seems to be doing pretty well. People like sleeping in the office anyway right?

As far as I know, Duality is the Alpha test server, where they test out a lot of different ideas and a fair chunk of them don't make past that. Singularity is the Beta test server, where ideas that passed through the Alpha server are introduced to anyone that makes use of it and the new ideas are tweaked there. Then the finally hit Tranquility, where they are fixed again, and sometimes yet another time. Those past couple of sentences are probably half wrong, could one of the dev's please explain the differences between Duality and Singularity? Either way, Duality is closed to the general EvE public as SiSi is not. So stop bitching cause your too chickenshit to come on TQ and fight with a risk (still no risk, it's a video game damn it), and let CCP do their thing.
You're not 100% correct there. Singularity is the "Public Test Server", and the terms Alpha and Beta don't apply to a released product. Duality was originally intended to be the "Event Test Server" where teams could direct users to test particular features en masse, but due to the virtual nature of its hardware, it was not great for this purpose and went underused. It even died a couple of times and was reborn in various incarnations. So with that in mind, there will actually be different uses for Duality over the next month and a bit, which I can't go into now but will be communicated when the time is right.

Yes, I will re-apply bonus SP from previous mass tests (should happen within 48 hours after the server is open).

We are going to be opening very soon (within the next 2 hours). Habakuk and Community are getting some info ready for you now, and I wanted to let you know that I have now published the patch files so restart your launchers to update your clients.

On the subject of seeding, due to Ops being crazy swamped we didn't have time to get them to change the seeding for us, so supers are still seeded. Faction loot isn't, and I'm afraid this includes ammo and charges. Will do our best to get that fixed but it's low priority. Ships are seeded except for bhaal, rattlesnake and vindi.

So pretty much normal seeding minus Faction Stuff and the 3 ships then (And supers)?
It's like seeding was before the summer, but with supers.
