I agree with the OP. Where are facial tattoos and piercings and things like this? Why can't I make a character with things like circuits or electronics integrated into their face or something like that like we saw in the old portraits?
It's sterile and generic as it stands.

That's a good point. Male characters get to wear long robes if they want, so there's no technical reason why skirts and dresses shouldn't be available

Actually, in the future female genitalia have evolved and hangs down around the ankles, but that's sci fi for you, you never know what the future may hold. Regards HexCaliber,

Bad CCP, really bad...
The actual carbon human modeling is great, but the clothes and lack of any deco we had is simply too much.
EVE is gone.
Has it occured to you that this is a completely new system and that CCP will likely add more **** than you know what to do with as it progresses? You ****ing people whine so much all of the time. If you want everything that exists and doesn't exist yet at your instant disposal then why don't you invent The Magic Thing Maker...dumbass.

I bet the skirts and all kinds of clothes will come in Incarna. Especially as you don't see them on the pics anwyay I think CCP (righteously so this time) gave it a low prio.
My question though is if we get new glasses, shirts, scarves and whatsoever (tattoos, scars, hats, helmets, light bulbs on your head), will we be able to adjust our portraits too or will we be stuck with them even when we acquire new accessoires and a new look?

We should all be naked we are just clones anyway.....
But seriously, though I enjoyed creating my new avatar really what is the point since once I have created it the largest version of it I am ever going to see again is the one that is top left of my Skills window... and as for everyone elses?
Need a way to view our own and other peoples avatars in a larger size after creation imho.

How can people be so emotionally invested in this game that they can rant like this over such a petty issue.
This was posted yesterday and CCP had already announced that this was simply a preliminary test before the extra content is added.

I would like some more accessories. Clothes are so so, id like to see more in the future. As far as looks go its up to the individual to look different. Aviators though? I guess I need them for when I look at the sun, lol.

Edited by: Ana Vyr on 20/01/2011 18:18:04 Keep in mind that this is the starting character look, and presumably you'll be able to buy clothes that are far more varied from players when WiS comes out. Consider a game like WoW...you start in underwear basically. They could handle face implants and jewelery the same way. Same with tatooes. Scars...yeah those seem to be missing from this incarnation of the CC.
It all depends on how far they are able to take the after the fact character upgrades in WiS.

People are upset because we are pretty sure that if and when this extra content gets added, it will be after the grace period and we will have to spend 15 bucks on a portrait swap. That, of course, is assuming that we have an extra slot on our account to make a toon of the same race and gender to make that new portrait in the first place. What about the little guys. The Tristan is pretty spiffy looking. Non-Gallente I gotta go with the Hurricane, shame its not as fast as it looks. |

S!
Please point to the EVE back story where your supposedly "futuristic" clothing resides. How much can casual clothing change? I mean honestly what do you expect. I don't think YOU know the back story. In most EVE chronicles where clothes are mentioned it's almost always contemporary, casual clothing, or suits or something. Terrible troll. EVE is gritty sci-fi, HTFU or go to star trek or some ****.
