But Eve can't. I can't think of any other developer that would dream of releasing software that can't quit successfully. Instead with Eve about 75% of the time I either get an error - exception or buffer overrun - or Eve hangs as I quit, requiring me to force quit it. This has been going on for YEARS. With patches it's rare, with others like all of Incursion it happens frequently. But it's always present. -- Frog blast the vent core! |

I almost always have to quit eve by pressing my power button till the machine shuts off. Is this not the way it is supposed to be?

paracidic, i found the magic of cmd+alt(option)+esc (force-quit) works wonders on saving your harddrive being hardbooted

I am having the same force quit to exit issue. Also, I have found that if you simply log out of your account on the MAC you can fix the 'black screen of death' launch issue.
I wish we had a native client!

It's not a matter of dreaming of releasing, it's a matter of dreaming while releasing.
But well, "Client crash on exit should no longer happen.":

Quote: buffer overrun
Atleast this tells me the game has actually quit! Thats what we have to put up with when using ported games, unfortunatly a native written client for OSX will never happen
