yup, i think its the shader setting, try it on 'Low' solved it for me. Seems to affect certain NVidia chips.

10.6.8 on my MacBook Pro 5,1 2.4GHz. Eve is fine, using either 9400M or 9600GT. Looks a bit brighter too Or is it my hangover.

I take it by jimmy-rig, you mean you ran Evemon through X11? If not I can PM you links to the version I use. It's a little on the ugly side, but does work well. Just need to install X11 from your OS install disc.

A really useful feature for us drone lovers would be to see the damage bars of the drones while they are in the drone bay, not just while they are in action! When you have to cycle drones in combat it'd be nice to know which one your launching. ...
