Edited by: Moleculor on 20/01/2011 22:23:58 So I'm noticing that as I drain hotspots on this planet I'm on, instead of those hotspots coming back where they used to be, everything is piling up in one spot on the planet. The more hotspots I drain, the more that one spot on the planet builds up.
It's like all the resources are shifting to a single spot on the planet.
Huh? This seems like they messed up the restocking algorithms or something.

yeah, they changed it or it's bugged. Right now i drained up my hotspot on 24h cycle, before patch it was all the same everyday. After 1 24h cycle to spot is now almost depleted.

Edited by: Steve Thomas on 21/01/2011 22:46:57 In part it depends on how you do it. but mostly some of the values seem to be turned up a bit high(depetion and polution) while others seem to be randomised for no aparent reason
But then if they add in the options later (ones that they had mentioned ages ago, polution controles for example, if your in it to produce you will have them, if your trying to screw other players harvesters over well naturaly polution controlls are what you dont want, resource management tools* and labor controls (Ie allocate resources so you max out polution but have a happy labor pool if you want to hit the other guys production on a given world) you should be able to do some better fine tooning
*this sounds like it was/will be pushed off to the scanning skills

ok to explain, when I first compared on simular planets (Oceanics) I noticed that if I had put storage and processors outside of the extractors "radius" resources recovered faster, but the past couple of weeks on sisi they aparently changed the values on recovery around

The "everything is piling up in one spot" may just be that that area has no extraction whatsoever and appears denser because it has more resources then the rest of the planet, which are experiencing a depletion rate greater then the replenisment rate.

Ok, so it turns out that this "piling up in one spot" is a feature called "nuggets". Kay. Mystery solved.

Thats interesting. Do these nuggets move around or at some point stop to build up and dont replenish or how does this work? Any more info on that?
When i first saw that i thought it was bugged and i filed a bug report....but if it is intentional this might just be the thing for "active" PI players who move around the entire colony every week...
Still i think the normal replenishment rate is a bit low...
