mssql singlefile script
mysql singlefile script mysql one-file-per-table script
sqlite singlefile binary (also for EAM) postgres-unquoted singlefile compatible script
innodb users please try loading the regular myisam version, then apply this script to change engine and add FKs, then report load/convert times here.

For those of us using postgresql -- if you can't stand waiting for the bazillion INSERT statements to run, try running http://users.pepperfish.net/dsilvers/eve-pgconv-1.pl.txt to convert the script to something slightly more efficient.

I get this error when I try to restore the database:
"sql server cannot process this media family. Error 3241"
I am using SQL Server Express 2008 R2 and the management studio that comes with it. Any idea what is wrong? I've searched online and people claim it's either due to try to open a database with an older version of SQL Server, or a corrupted .bak, though I know I am using a current version of SQL Server and I'm confident the file is not corrupt, seeing as how others have used it successfully.

Could the Single file script be Cut into 4 pieces or something? It's a Bit big to Import into a Database on Godaddy in one shot and the Individual ones will take forever to import them all. --

Yes it can be done, just edit the file in notepad. I had to do this because for some reason the single file script caused an error when I tried to open it using SQL Server Management Studio. Once I cut it into chunks, I got everything to work fine.

You could just have restored CCP's original version to avoid that issue. Also to import large scripts do it from the command line as you'll invariably overload the GUI. --

Well as you can see in my earlier post I had an error when trying to restore the bak file. This happened on 3 different computers. All running win7 professional with SQL Server Express 2008 R2. I'm not familiar with how to do it from the command line. I'll have to look into it, thanks for the tip.

Check for a second tab in the .bak restore window, it has pathes that may or may not work depending on your flavor and language of windows install. just make sure the pathes point at something that actualy exists.

Apparently when I upgraded from SQL 2005 to 2008 my default instance was still a 2005 version. Its all sorted out now and the bak works great.

The more I look the more I am sure that material requirements for T2 ships are wrong in this datadump. Not that I know whether they were right in previous dumps.
For example the zealot returns a bunch of normal mins, that aren't on the blueprint in game. Those normal mats don't match the omen either. Which is funny the zealot also doesn't include an Omen as a material.
Sample sql: Select types1.typeName ,types2.typeName ,typeMats.quantity ,Round(typeMats.quantity * (1.0 + (invBPO.wasteFactor/100.0)/(1+0)), 0, 1) as ME0 ,Floor(typeMats.quantity*invBPO.wasteFactor/0.5) as PerfectME From invTypes types1 Left Outer Join invTypeMaterials typeMats on types1.typeID = typeMats.typeID Left Outer Join invTypes types2 on typeMats.materialTypeID = types2.typeID Left Outer Join invGroups grps on types2.groupID = grps.groupID Left Outer Join invBlueprintTypes invBPO on types1.typeID = invBPO.productTypeID Where types1.typeName = 'Zealot'
The other problem I have run into is I haven't found a way to pull the invention mats.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I am rather sure I am not. regards Morast |

This is what you get when forum doesn't have a proper search function.

Yeah. I found equivalent posts by manually clicking through 20+ pages of the forum. And I found "http://wiki.eve-id.net/Bill_of_Materials", which helped a lot.
But!
I still think T2 material requirements are still bugged. Since the Zealot doesn't need 47744 tritanium. For example. regards Morast |

yes, the zealot does not require 47744 trit. but if you end up with that number, that is a result of your calculations being wrong, not the data dump. X)
calculations based on inc110 data: Zealot
hints on how to use the split materials data may be found in the dom100 thread.

There are a lot of patches and updates with Incursion. Will there be more data dumps for this expansion after this?
Thanks

Worked flawlessly. Dunno exactly how long it took as I went afk, but it was a couple of minutes for both operations on an underpowered Linux VM. ________________________ CCP: Where fixing bugs is a luxury, not an obligation. |

since people dont seem to find it in that other thread ...

3MB of intentionally simple-syntax inserts. loads as-is in mysql, should need no more than a straight search/replace for any other sql flavor.
just apply to an existing inc110 db. you may have to disable FKs. and no smacking ccp for artifacts in that addon. kthxbai.
