Originally by: masternerdguy I think this is a fair question! Macro miners are screwing ore prices into the dirt, and you're continuing to mine? This isnt the real world! In eve you can sell that hulk to buy a raven and to run some missions and start making the big bucks.
Some of the stuff I do involves building things, so I need the minerals to build them. Not going to pay for it when the ore is floating out there in space to take for free....

But this is a MMO?
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

I guess many have stopped mining, its the reason why prices are not even lower. CCP says that there is too much isk in the eve economy, most comming from bouties. So it looks like many are switching to shooting red +'s.
Right now prices are low, but not so low that mining is worthless. Its just that due to macros its not worth what it should be. Macros drive minerals down, and because they use their ill gotten gains to buy PLEX with isk, PLEX prices are high. The result is a miner has to mine more hours to buy a PLEX. Because of cheaters.

I have a better idea. Change the mining process to get rid of macro users.
I've come up with a decent solution to the macro mining invasion, and to the boring-as-hell events known as mining.
You have got to read my thread on this, the more people +1 it the more of a chance CCP might see it and react to it...

I have made a proposal in the Assembly Hall and am now looking for support. It is just a little extra to the map, but miners will love it. Not so much the macro miners. Read here about it and give support if you want it. --

botters run mission
In other words, missions require no thought either, and this is why they're tied with mining as the most boring activity in the game.

Your opinion. Of which I don't give a dump about.

If ore is free, why do I have to pay to buy it? Could it be possible that time holds value?

Because there are people who want it enough to pay a lot for it, which makes my time spending it to get it worth it. And there is no such thing as zero time investment. You always have to spend time to get something.

Some people don't have the skills to fly your stupid Raven. When you can make 10 million an hour mining but only 5 million an hour plodding through missions, mining isn't so bad.
Also, I thought you were quitting? Stop being such a wuss and unsub. Please.
Damn.
You're like the guy at walmart bragging that he makes more then the guy at burgerking.

Ok, let me rephrase for the slow people. 'stop worrying about what people who don't care about your opinion are doing and play the darn game the way you want to'.
To continue the troll thread marathon: In all honesty I and most others couldn't care less if someone earns less or more than anyone else in game, certainly no need for a forum post expressing a desire to tell people how they should change their in-game fun to something that they may not find fun.

Originally by: Sidus Isaacs If CCP made mining innvolve some semblance of thought, we might not see too many macros.
But botters run mission as well you know.
if CCP made mining involve some semblance of thought you would see less player miners and more legitimate missioners.
Not that it matters if you're doing either your turning your brain into a simple bot. There's no way you actually enjoy it? Is there...?
