Hi Folks..was wandering how this works and hoping someone can shed light on this matter.11 Days ago i sold my toon on the forums for 23b isk.The next day i used the isk to purchase a new toon for 22.1b isk.i received the new toon after the 10 hour delay and logged on to check him out etc..immediatley i was sent a letter from GM saying i have been warned for buying isk for real money and was deducted 23 billion isk into the negative.basicsally making my toon useless that i just received.that happened to be the total value of the new toon and the warning was listed right beside theGM transaction as recovering stolen isk.apparently this GM made a huge mistake and didnt investigate where i got the isk in the first place.i was being punished for the transaction i made in which i transferred the 22.1b isk to the toon i was buying so he would transfer the toon in return.(thats the transaction that was flagged) cld this be something the previous owner was doing illegally before he transferred?? or was it just lack of investigating on the GMs part? i have since linked all the forum post and info to the GM under a petition but its been 12 days and counting and no reply.normally it only takes 3 or so days. could someone help? |

Show him the post in which you sold the character , also ask the person who bought it from you to attest , if the GM still doesn't give you your isk back either your character was bought with RMT isk or you posted your petition in the wrong section. |

thanks blood..but ive tried that also.i was also told that getting angry in the petition and calling out mistakes CCP GMs make can make them drag it out longer on purpose. not sure if this is true or not but i did get irritated after the first 5 days went by.its like being locked up in jail for something you didnt do and they want let you use the phone |

Determining the source of the ISK used to buy a character you're selling is completely outside of the realm of the player's responsibilities when it comes to character trading. "WeGÇÖre a professional Merc Alliance, like PL" ~ snot shot, 2012 |

Go online, find a good Iceland lawyer (civil, obviously), and get the wheels running. Threats and publicity are enough to get most companies off their arse to rectify a problem a lot faster than a "click-here-to-wait-60-days-for-a-reply" petition. |

It's also a good way for all your future correspondence to be relayed to their legal counsel.

a little bit of formatting of your posts can go a long ways too. if it's a struggle just to read, you're just adding on to the time it takes to deal with you.

Words can be crafted to convey emotions through either phrases or direct words. Your writing style has very little, what I'd term as strong statements. Things like "Why is CCP taking its sweet time to respond. Can anyone tell me?". Post #3 even has a "lol" attached to it. Seriously?
Posting in GD over GM issues invites trolls and negative comments. You already know this. Historically, it nevers ends well and there have been cases where the OP's post were revealed to be bogus in order to gain sympathies.
If you're genuine, deal with it internally with CCP and be patient. |

Yeah I actually agree with this guy. I doubt the GMs will take you seriously if you write with bad spelling, punctuation and grammar; not to mention the absence of all paragraphs. I can't imagine how they sort through the petitions, but I'm sure they have a specific group of people working on RMT cases and judging by the popularity of ISK sellers they probably have a lot of crap to deal with so I wouldn't expect a reply soon.
And seriously bro, even this forum post makes you look guilty. If you want to look innocent, dunt typ lik dis. |

I would personally want to see the records or audit trail they are using to accuse you. there was a high profile case in March/April where a goon got banned for actions undertaken by a previous owner of one of his characters - he didn't receive any useful reply from CCP to his petitions for about a month until goons started to push the issue through other channels, then he was unbanned relatively quickly (and Sreegs still refused to update his "false positives" count).
Tazuki Falorn wrote: Hi. I'm the person mentioned by Kazanir et al. earlier in the thread. Obviously I'm now unbanned but I can't say the process was in any way a good experience. Tickets were ignored or closed without comment, e-mails to security@ went unanswered - after 2 weeks of trying and failing to get anyone to reply I gave up. It's very difficult to get unbanned when your protestations of innocence disappear into a black hole.
Luckily, my CEO and another director spent a bunch of their time pestering people at CCP via various sources, eventually getting a reply to the effect of "If he is innocent, please explain Dodgy Character's actions". Dodgy Character (not his name) being a freighter/industry guy I legitimately bought and transferred to one of my accounts. Apparently it had something to do with RMT before I bought it and the character transfer wasn't taken into account when bans were handed out :(
I'm all for getting rid of bots and RMTers but there really needs to be a system in place to deal with ban appeals in a reasonable timeframe, especially with the way skill training works. My lost game time got reimbursed but I'm still out a month of training on multiple accounts.
(source: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1207892#post1207892)
It's up to anyone's guess how things would have turned out without inside contacts at CCP.
(if you are interested in more details look up posts by Kazanir and corestwo during that timeframe, they wrote a lot about that case)
I'm a NPC corp alt, any argument I make is invalid. |

On a non-troll, serious, note: By chance did you use any of this shorthand when contacting customer service for a game that is run in a country where English is not the primary language? As angry as you are, I would recommend a fresh start across the board to make sure that what you are saying is bone-dry clear English to avoid any confusion. If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

I'm curious - where did you get the 23 bil in the first place to buy a toon? You've been marked down that amount, so regardless of the toon's history it seems that CCP is tracking that amount of isk.
Did you, perchance, RMT that isk? Because it 's very likely to have been stolen from a hacked account (leastwise, that's what the security devblogs have taught me) and IF THIS IS THE CASE, I have neither sympathy nor interest in seeing your situation reverted to pre isk removal.
If you DID come by that isk honestly, by PLEX or mindless grinding years of mining, then I sympathize and hope you receive a satisfactory conclusion.
Very curious about that 23 bil. |

So okay, I know where the 23 bil comes in - whoever bought the first char off him ought to be getting a good look from team security, and I'd hope he'd get his first char back. |
