Very well, let's make this short: Since returning to my office at space, I have been approached by a certain number of Organizations suggesting that the current Sansha uprising may bring good investment opportunities and add extra digits to our already pompous Sani Sabik wallets. I'm convinced. To all Organizations supporting the current Sansha wars, allied of the Nation and Friends, this communiquT may interest you: As the main representative of the current Sani Sabik banking system, I'm announcing that I have allocated circa of 100 Billion isk investments into Military Organizations which might be interested in the current political aspects of this war, including the possible coming attacks against Concord Forces and capsuleer organizations anti-Sasha. At first glance, I'm willing to invest into professional organizations and large power blocks outside the Empires, but I'm also considering investments into smaller but military capable organizations, specially those willing to muster forces to gate camps at systems and facilitate Mr. Kuvakei's incursions. War is profit and profit is Power. If you believe you qualify to receive the financial incentive, contact me by private comm systems leaving a message with your proposal and I'll contact you at my convenience for further details. That word doesn't mean what you think it means, but it makes your sentence starkly, unfortunately accurate.

Ah Atandros! Been quite a while good to see you, elegant as ever. About the word, concerning the intention of the communiquT, I believe it means what's supposed to mean. Substantial perhaps could be a replacement but I opted for a touch of eccentricity but the accuracy isn't lost there.
And taking the advantage of the reply to add a general note, it has come to my attention that Logistics may also be considered for the investments. Large Organizations capable of mustering good and solid logistics fleets to join Sansha forces and take care of their repair at high sec space are welcome to contact me.

No, you can't just say that a word means THIS to you when it have a definition already, that is universal and quite agreed on. You can't change facts, but with your origins I should assume that you will just go "this is how I see it, so then it's the universal truth."

If that is all my enemies can do I'm quite happy to continue to answer yes. Perhaps that's why my fortunes continues to grow while those worried with "tragic mistakes" are usually the ones who are barely able to survive. Just a matter of priorities in such cases.
I find it hilarious too, but just because I can afford it.

By that logic Nyx class supercarriers are pretty harmless as well since they don't have any form of direct damage beyond limited range smart bombs and those pesky Fighter-bomber proxies. Thats a relief to many in lowsec.

Heard that sentence from more relevant lips about 7 years ago. Yet, at each eon my life as capsuleer just improves in all aspects. My enemies fall, my finances grow, my investments prospere, my wars profit and my bed continues to be warm.
So I kind of consider such sentence nowadays as a good luck charm.

Well nitpicking about the definition of 20,000 year old words is certainly the level for those eager to demonstrate their puissance and verve in rhetorical jousting. Ah, but how many [a]eons do you squeeze into 7 years?
Neither here nor there though, since you fail to apply the correct context. You seem to attempt painting a picture that makes you extraordinary, so here's a few questions about these [a]eons:
Has the lives of your enemies' failed to improve? Which enemies fell? Did your enemies' finances decline? Did their investments flounder? Did their wars leave them poor? Are their beds cold?
You presume so much in these sentences, but fail to notice that you are actually just yet another one of us. There's nothing special about you that cannot be said about any half-brained transhuman. You are completely ordinary.

They are if you have the right counter. And: Jericho Rocket Raiders. (I hope you will forgive me, it's not strictly applicable but the opportunity was too juicy to leave untapped.)

Your "faith and wallet" wasn't destroyed. Nor was Jade's "anarchist movement" (oh, so Jade owns it?). The thing is that neither has to be destroyed, because both are already irrelevant to anyone who does not, of their own free will, decide to partake in it. You see, neither your faith, your money, or an anarchist movement with a genitiv attributed to Jade can do anything to anyone. At least: not anything they'd notice. (And yes, this applies to me as well. The difference is: I do not aspire to change anyone else. I am happy with being myself and having power only over myself. I do not need to artificially boost my ego through any other pretences - most especially since such pretences would be false anyhow.)
You see, to claim power you have to be able to project that power, and this means that the projection has to have a result - preferably one damaging to your enemy. (And not one that merely serves as amusement for your enemy: we know how that went don't we?)

Yes, it's much easier to win a debate (who keeps a score?) if you get to re-define words. You use the words, thus you implicitly agree to abide by their meaning. Failure to do so means an abdication from discourse, since no-one would be able to (or willing to) try navigating the maze of new definitions that are continually spawned to cover up linguistic failures.
Language is not nit-picking. It's the medium through which we communicate. If you throw that away, you really do end up irrelevant since no-one can even talk to you.

Naturally Jade owns the anarchist movement of which she and I are members. This much is elementary and is not a particularly interesting point on which to focus. Slightly more interesting, though no less elementary, is the fact that she is not the sole owner of the movement.
On scepters and irony, I believe I may refer to the example of the Khumaak and safely say no more with my point amply made.
As for language and history lessons as to its development, I shall simply note that in one of its most ancient senses the term that began this rather peculiar exchange was used perfectly correctly. However, I do grant that the juxtaposition of usage and personality involved has an entertaining dimension.

Edited by: Nikita Alterana on 24/01/2011 09:55:32 I think Tatsue summed things up rather eloquently, and overall your entire post raises the question: Why?
Why post this to Galnet at all?
All it does is hand information to your enemies. Are you so blindly confident in your own infallibility that you can casually post fairly sensitive information to a public forum?
And not only does it hand information to your enemies but...frankly, its nothing but grandstanding. The information would have been much better conveyed behind closed doors, where none of us had to deal with it. By rubbing your money in our faces, you're attempting to prove that you're better then us. That you're still relevant to us.
But frankly...we don't care. Your lesbianism isn't new or edgy. Your support of Sansha Kuvakei doesn't make you feared any more then your capital ships or your finances do. You're a laughing stock, presiding over a pile of dirt and pretending its a mountain. Your enemies laugh at you, your friends mock you behind your back. The only way you can instil loyalty outside the deluded few who worship is by purchasing it.
You're a joke Revan Nefaris. You're an old hag, and you ceased to be relevant ages ago.
And honestly, the more you continue to rub your "success" in our faces, the less we care. You think we give a damn that you have a mountain of isk to swim in or a lover to fall asleep with? We don't. I have the same thing, and yet, I remain completely uncompelled to bring that to the IGS and use it as a weapon in a verbal sparring match. If "Oh yeah, well I have a girlfriend" is really the best retort you can come up with...its pathetic.
However, I'm not deluded enough to think you'll actually respond to this in any form besides twisting my words and trying to turn them against me. But this isn't for you. Its for the rest of the people reading it. Because you know, and I know, and they know that what I've said is the truth; even if you will never admit it.
So to the rest of you, I'm going to offer a bit of advice: Leave. Revan, is only relevant because people read her posts and make them relevant. Ignore her. Let her scream in futility into the night. Let her cries for attention fall on deaf ears. I know I'm not going to pay any further attention to her. Let her find some other medium for her self aggrandising. She only matters as much as anyone lets her.

As long as such mindset continues, I'm very pleased, you won't see me crying about coming to my pod to see my wallet increasing digits due to my enemies incompentence.
