Are there any viable fits that have drones with the T3s? I mean even the most basic cruiser has a drone bay, where's the one for the T3s (specifically the Tengu)?

Loki has two of them, falloff sub with 50/25m3 and the Phoon sub with 80/40m3.

Tengu with the OMFGWTFBQQ missile sub is balanced around not having drones. Only the jammer offensive sub (lol) gives you a dronebay and who would honestly use that?

The Loki might have one, but other than that, no. You can certainly get drones with the other ships, but the setups that result tend to be rather poor. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Just seems strange that the T1 cruisers are the only (caldari) cruisers that have drone bays. I would think they could give the T3s a 10m3 drone bay as a base, then maybe increase it through the subsystems.
I'm not going to die if I don't get one, was just expecting there to be one, and then when I went to put drones into it... nothing.

For a prayer tank (flight of ECM drones) I suppose.

All of the stats on a T3 ship come from the subsystems, I like it that away to be honest.

I think the question was who would use the ECM subsystem at all, considering it just makes your Tengu into a very, very expensive Rook.

Edited by: Misanthra on 26/01/2011 04:33:36 word of warning about drones and t3...if you went unprobable (or at least hard as hell to probe)....the drones wlll give away your position. Implant and ship subsystem bonus to signal strength has no effect on drone signal strength.
Tengu also is not a drone boat. HAM shotgun or HML sniper fit it and enjoy. Either way will have missile dps better ranged and better effect than drones. Either way will be gimped hardcore by putting on a drone range mod in the high slots. Not a very spacious mid fitting setup either....don't want to nerf tank for for that drone fitting either.
Having problems hitting small targets (one reason I see why to ruin a tengu with drones), try a rigor rig if hml'd. your tengu will kill small stuff much faster. try 2...short of the elite frigates, one shot kills on frigates with good missile skills and only offensive sub 4 trained.
Looking for drones to ride out gursista perma jams, fly HML tengu and snipe the jammers way the hell out. Mission gives option to warp in at 100...I take it and kill the frigs at max range.
