sorry to say this, but you guys fail to get the point of the incursions.
If you want to play solo in your badly badly fit ships, sure, just go do level 4s.
I love this game for the fact that CCP is not very likely to tone them down, and will just let systems rot under incursion penalties until a competent group of capsuleers moves in for the bounty.
The incursions are focused on capable groups of capsuleers who can adequately evaluate the situation, properly compose a fleet, and move in with a well thought-out and executed tactic (no, really , it's not as hard as it sounds, players do it every day). I'm sure the groups you were in / saw / heard about, failed in one of the above.

Also,there are people who lose ships to PVP combat all the time, and few rely on PLEX to replace them. TBH, if you need to buy PLEX to replace boats lost to rats, you deserve it.
Also, you (and/or the groups you play with) are probably just not good enough for incursions.
But don't worry guys, not everyone's cut out for everything this game has to offer, it's the reason EVE only has ~350.000 active subscribers ;)
Also one of the reasons it's so awesome, but if you can't do better than lvl4s, and don't like that, I'm sure there's lots of other games out there you'll love, I hear the new WOW expansion is good , and there's even some new sci-fi themed MMOs out.
I haven't seen incursions, and don't intend to bother unless the Sansha are on my doorstep, but from the reports I hear, they're what they were intended to be, demanding.
And well, maybe a good opportunity for some good-old fun.

Decon Ko you just dont understand it lol. Nobody was talking about soloing it lol. There was all fleets wiped out in minute or two by FRIGS!!! At least but Battlecruisers or BS with that dmg not fecking frigs!!
