New patch + incursion = less botters = $$$

NinjaSpud	Posted - 2011.01.27 17:39:00 - [1] market prices have jumped...alot battleships used to cost 50 mill are up to 75 ore hasn't been this expensive for months. result...legit miners are making some bank botters are producing less resources are getting more epxensive to buy...is this what it would look like if the botting issue was fixed? Your thoughts?

The reason for price increase is probably due to all the people trying to solo incursion sites so demand has risen. This is nothing more then supply and demand so botters are making a killing aswell. Either that or market manipulation

Best moment was when some obvious pirate gankers in low sec ran into a site and pretty much got instabbq'd. Can't fit much buffer on those ships and still mount tackle and enough dps to take down a logi assisted incursion gang. Pirates r dumb.

Either that or market manipulation actually I was under the impression that the patch had halted the botters as they 'cought up' with thew new upgrades....am I wrong?
Zachstar	Posted - 2011.01.27 21:57:00 - [10] The issue is it wont be this good for long. The massive ship losses at start is what is helping fuel prices and that sadly is helping the Marco idiots even more. There has got to be more features to slow down marcoing.

There is no part of the game other than PvP which does not have functional bots. I suggest you look harder - took me all of 90 seconds to find them. As far as incursions stopping botters - maybe some high-sec macro miners but in null the main effect bothering people apparently seems to be screwing up JB networks. The ratting bots are briefly affected but they'll make enough to compensate for that when their corp/alliance kill the incursion. tl;dr prices are going up because there's been a load of ships lost by people who are normally risk-averse to the point of paranoia.
