the bestower has two high power slots and you can only use one miner. Why can you not use two miner 1 s on it if not are they ever going to create an indy that can if not the bestower?

The other slot is for devices like smartbombs and I thought there was another device that fits in a high slot. ______________________ I am just a crazy cow |

Indys are not meant for mining. The best thing i can suggest IF u want to use a indy to mine is to afk mine. That is go to a 1.0 sector, mine a roid and simply go watch TV. Come back later on, u got a full 7000 cargo space :-) "All for One and One for All!" |

that sucks... i mean, its got 2 high slots, miner1 needs a high slot, and its got the cpu/powergrid needs to run 2 miner 1s so why the f*** cant u put 2 miner 1's on...
...as a developer i find this ludicrous.

It would be too easy that way. You have cargo space AND mining speed? Do RV's run as fast and corner as tight as Ferrari's? No.
If you ask why doesn't it just have two turret slots then why not ask why it doesn't have 3, or 4, or 5? Why SHOULD it have 2 turret mounts? Because you want it to?

It has 2 high slots, but like every indy only 1 turret hardpoint. Therefore it can only mount 1 turreted weapon. It has no launcher hardpoints and can mount no launchers.
This is clear from the ship specs if you'd bothered to look at them before buying.

Storm - the second high slot is used (as previously stated) to mount such things as SmartBombs and Power drains etc... This is by design and not a bug.

I would suggest a copy of EVE Dude Plus, which will allow you to check out the specifications of the ships you want to buy, ahead of time.
I believe it can be downloaded from http://www.eve-i.com/evedude.php --

The indies work just fine - they are cargo haulers. They have good defense compared to a frigate (good armour) but will get wasted by any PC pirates. Think on this world's oceans - big cargo ship facing a destroyer.
They can be used for combat though, with the right boosters, weapon and ammo. I regularly use my Hoarder in a .3 system hunting pirates - with civ shield booster, medium shield booster and armour repairer. Very rarely have to run at all. And able to take on as much, if not more, than with any frigate I have tried. Plus loads of cargo space for loot. Generally hunt npc pirates in it until my hold is full - which takes a while, but good rewards.
