1. New Player Protection - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
The value of intel is subjective. That could have been useful to someone else. His assumption that a new player would find it useful is not unreasonable. Either way, the buddy program is specifically, and pretty much uniquely, protected agianst s...

3. Pronunciation - in EVE Alliance Tournament Discussion [original thread]
Tiberius Patterson wrote: Just so you commentators know, it's not a "kit-soon." It's a "kit-soon-eh." A little tidbit, a kitsune is a Japanese fox spirit. It's also the Japanese word for fox. Yeah, because pronunciation is famously static. ...

4. The Broken Mining Corp Tax - in Science and Industry [original thread]
The answers given above are right. A corp tax on sales would destroy the profit margin for miners, traders and manufacturers. I seem vaguely to remember corp tax did originally apply to sales before this was realised and it was removed. Anyway, i...

5. Question about can flipping and retaliation ... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I wouldn't choose a BS for this role - but I would point out that a passive targeter can be just as effective as a cloak. Ore thieves expect to have time to warp out if a combat-ready ship targets them, but with a passive, by the time they realise...

6. The newbie guide (everything they dont tell you but need to know) - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
The best time to head into low sec for the first time is probably just before you buy your first cruiser. Rather than going straight for the cruiser, spend a day or two doing missions in low sec in your frigate. It won't matter too much if you los...

7. Buying ISK for real world money is bad! New Dev Blog by Grimmi - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
CCP have made progress in combatting spam and sales, for which they deserves thanks - from everyone . However, it doesn't look like they're close to really eliminating the problem, and I don't understand why not. It can't be that difficult to tr...

8. CSM - CCP Meeting 001 - 0017 Empire War Dec Mechanics - in Assembly Hall [original thread]
The involvement of mercs in a war could take the form of an "attachment" system, an temporary alliance where you attach another corp for a limited time, and that corp becomes involved in your wars. This allows for a quicker response to a griefing...

9. CSM - CCP Meeting 001 - 0020 Public POS arrays - in Assembly Hall [original thread]
The old, old argument that corps who have stations with research slots and run them as businesses would be penalised by the addition of extra NPC slots has no credibility for me - such corps (and other manufacturing corps) routinely clog up NPC sl...

10. Nanos. Not the problem, webber drones are.... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I've long thought that utility drones need an overhaul - webbers, ECM and neuts. Maybe other ways of getting a slight, temporary web or cap hit on a fast moving target could be looked at too - web bubbles, cap neut and web missiles etc.

12. Does distance effect missile DPS? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
You either simplify a situation enough to get an answer which makes sense, or you complicate it to the point where the answer doesn't make sense. People blithely talk about a turret's DPS without regard to the sig radius of the target, or its tra...

15. Please do NOT nerf the Myrmidon - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The Myrm is clearly overpowered, and there is no sensible argument against a rebalancing of it. The vulnerability of drones is a weak argument thanks to scoop/redploy as has been previously mentioned, and also that the Myrm pilot can wait to depl...
