Real life laws do not apply to Eve. The laws in Eve are as they are. Hell, even in the real world, there are huge differences between countries. One country will cut off your hand for stealing that beer, the other one will kindly ask you to not do it again.
So yeah, their punishment is that concord will not protect them, which means you can do whatever you want to them. If you didn't train any combat skills, that's your own damn fault, not the game's.

Never mind all the ore thieves getting upset and defensive. I have regular minings ops in low sec(extra income) with orca support and all minerals split equally. There are also combat ships on standby for when neutrals come into the belt.
Make your way to Auga, and convo me when you want to get going there - we do regular mining sessions.

I am also recruiting pilots for regular mining ops. We have an Orca and share all profits. Drop an application. I wouldn't pay any attention to all these griefers, they don't understand.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with your inability to police Asteroid Belts in Concord controlled space for thieves. While I understand your primary goal is to keep the peace with regards to violence, it seems to me that thievery should be punished as well.
It is extremely unlikely that a miner such as myself will have the skills to deal with a thief as their primary focus is generally combat, leaving miners with little to no hope of dealing with the scum of the galaxy.
I believe it is far too easy for anyone to just drop in and take ore out of a jetcan that belongs to me and jettison it into their own can at which point 'I' become the criminal if I try to take back what I mined. This is absurd.
If someone breaks into my quarters on a space station and takes property that belongs to me, how is it that mysteriously, this property now belongs to the person whom stole it?
I pay plenty of taxes (usually around 10%) and I am getting no protection whatsoever from thieves and I think its about damn time you people start doing your job.
Unfortunately, I cant vote you people out to get new people in so I am at a loss as to what to try next, I thought a letter first might be a decent start.
As always, you can reach me anytime I am awake.
"Eve Online...You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy'
This may or may not be dealt with.

Actually, Im not whining, Im trying to have a grown up conversation with (mostly) children.
I have debunked every excuse you morons give for flipping cans except one - the same reason a dog licks his balls...because he can.
Im more bothered with the lame, often pathetic excuses many of you give when it just comes down to the fact that you do it because you can. If concord were to step in, well, surprise surprise, it would stop. There is no other reason.
And the ongoing telling miners not to leave their ore floating in a can when they are solo mining, well, if you knew anything about mining, you might get a clue (and perhaps learn something about the business) and have some understanding as to the reason miners jetcan mine - it is simply more productive.
One person mentioned there are ships with decent size cargo holds that can mine. Care to share which ship(s) you are referring to? I am working on getting a Hulk (I have the skills, just not the money to purchase one yet) and that is really the only option that I can find that has a nice balance of yield versus cargo size.

How long did you spend grinding to acquire all that?
How long did it take them?

I suppose instead of sending children to school, having them work in sweatshops is also more productive than making robots do it.
Just because its more productive, doesn't mean that its not risk free. I find it amusing that you try to be 'grown up' about people taking your cans just like how you leave your candy bar out of reach before a bully takes it and eats it.
Sure, he'll get in some minor trouble but is he going to lose his clothes for stealing a $1 candy bar?

If Im sitting right next to a can of ore, that ore belongs to me and the only reason you can flip is because the game mechanics allow you to steal with no penalty from concord.
Dude, if you set a 6 pack of beer on the ground and someone takes it, do you expect a squad of policemen to be standing immediately by to pounce on the perpetrator? Get a grip. Even in the real world, the police would tell you to stop being a dumb-ass and quit leaving your beer laying around.

I do have a suggestion for a lil' bit of roleplay between me and you, babe.. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |
