I think it has to do with Incursions as well. Alot of high sec PVE players are doing Incursions, which means people that used to semi-afk through L4's all night long are now actually going and getting many more ships blown up versus the once in a blue moon crash-to-desktop losses they normally have happen.

I suspect the change in the Drone Regions exploration combat sites have something to do with the price increase too.
In the past you were able to warp to the location, smartbomb everything and then just pick up the drone alloys. CCP changed that. Now you need A LOT longer. Which means the minerals/hour income there drop considerably.
NPC kills in the drone regions are at cut down to 1/5 - according to Dotlan Evemaps statistics.
And then there are incursions. And the speculators too of course. Good timing. |

Just a hunch here, but it prolly has more to do with anitipated demand for the mineral, prior to / during / and after which comes Hulkageddon.

Try using the Table instead of the Graph.

Right click on the graph. In the pop-up menu click "Hide Donchian Channel" and "Hide MIN/MAX" ... that should help.

Did CCP really start to take action against bots again, or why hasn't the trit price gone back down i wonder.

The trit price increase is actually demand-driven IMHO. People may lose ships during PVE activities now (Incursions), whereas L4 were almost risk-free. And big power blocks are now destroying supercapitals in insane quantities... and replace them as soon as possible. That's a huge stress for the trit price. I guess it won't decrease under 3.0 isk/unit. ____________________________________ Fulbert Industrialist - Casual Trader EVE Online, the best browser MMO of them all |

I remember that the price increased a bit after hulkageddon was announced (speculation probably) to the current levels. I'm just not sure if the current price is still an aftermath of that, or if it is really a new equilibrium (for now).
I know people lost A LOT of ships when incursions came first out, but i don't know if they are still the shipkiller they were then.

The trit price increase is due to many RMT bots having evolved and having moved to 0.0 ratting for more income than hi sec. Non RMT bots are still hi sec mining since they don't have to account for lower ROI. The RMTers need to launder the money with SCs / Titans "trading" and SCs / Titans require massive amounts of minerals. Plus SCs are the FOTM so the effect adds up.
If CCP would do anything against 0.0 bots you'd see them forced moving back to hi sec and crash low ends again.
Edit: on a related matter, when I roamed in 0.0, renting a system with harvestable moon, reasonable belts and PLEXES costed 250M a month. Now 1-2B is frequent and probably there's higher. Just to tell how things changed in the last 2 years. - Auditing & consulting

Hourly prices probably not a good reflection of market movements. It's "noise" (maybe someone made a big purchase).

Well, I did thought about what impact changing the UI would have to UI based non-OCR macro's...
They would have to be recorded again = work = takes time plus some can't make new ones because they buy them somewhere. ----------------- Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved. |

Woudn't a big movement of bots from empire space into 0.0 have the decline of highend prices as a consequence?
Trit price has risen slowly for about 3 Months until it hit 3.2 (When the op made this Post), in the same timeframe Pyerite and Isogen showed a similar movement. If ship kills/overall demand would have been the sole reason all minerals should have increased in Price. As highends are rare in highsec i would think either mineral production for Lowends has gone down or someone does a good job to keep the price up.
The reasons for declining Lowend production i can think of would be:
- Decreased botting
- Lower price forces real miners to do other stuff
- Incursions(Should hit Highends equally if not harder)
I could imagina hulkageddon affected bots through more bots being reported and therefore banned, but that seems to be a bit too simple.
I'm unsure how much isk someone would need to manipulate the Mineral market in this manner but i don't doubt that it is doable. I guess its wait and see for now.
