Edited by: Phantomania on 08/02/2011 10:28:01 Hello, I would like to get comments on what I could expect from LP payouts if I switch to a base quality 16 agent in 0.6 space instead of my current base quality 17 in 0.5.
With my current agent and both LP skills to 5 I get 8341 LP for the big missions like Extravaganza and Worlds Collide. With the same skill set, how much lower could I expect it to be in 0.6? I do not have maxed LP skills for the new agent so it is hard to compare even if I fly there and start a few missions to check pay outs.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'll hazard a guess - 10%?

I get between 8100 and 8200 LP for the best mission in 0.6 from a Q19 agent. I guess a Q16 would give LP somewhere between 7000 and 7500.

With what skill set is that? There's so many different oppinions floating around, some say only the special LP skills affect the LP reward, some say other skills such as Negotiation does too. I've heard that max in 0.6 is 8900-something, which implies that there's other skills which factor in as well since I get less in a 0.5 system.

Social 5, Negotiation 4 and the 2 related Connection skills at 5. I don't think Negotiation affects the LP reward but ofcourse I can be mistaken. But to be precise, I'm almost sure there are other factors as well, since I do not always get the same LP with my alt although she has the same Social skills. So probably the standings also affect the LP reward although in a much smaller scale (I got just a few LP, maybe a few dozens difference).

What about the skill Connections? What is your level on that one? Maybe it has something to do with the LP. As far as I see it neither Social nor Negotiation affects the LP gain seeing as you get 8200 in 0.6 with Q19, and I get 8341 in 0.5 with Q17. Seems like a reasonable difference if you look at the sec and quality. Question is though, how are some people talking about LP up to 8900 for big missions, in 0.6? Could it be the skill Connections that's the final piece?

Connections aids in getting to the higher level agents sooner only. The Political, Military, High Tech, etc Connections have 2 assigned to each division and they add 5% to the LP gain per lvl
Why are you moving? New corp?

Yes that is what I thought, but what is making some people get 8900 LP in a 0.6 system then? Are they lying?
Idiotic kids without market savvy ruined the market I was using my LP on. The market has been ruined for some time but foolishly I thought it would recover.

LP payout is based on your 2 connection skills that work with the agent in question, the quality lvl of the agent and the security status of the system the agent is located in. iam running for a QL lvl 16 in a 0.5 with max connection skills i get 8295LP for the best LP paying missions

Then I guess the people talking about 8900 LP were talking bull****. I get about the same, just a tiny bit more due to my agent being Q17. I trained another level of Negotiations and will now compare the missions, I had 16 different missions written down so I can now compare if there has been any LP change.

Edited by: Love Denied on 09/02/2011 09:42:16 Tbh. just go for one of the better agents around, preferably in a 0.5-0.6 with no lowsec next too it. picking a spot thats not overrun with other agentrunners / ninja salvagers and gankers is also worth it. another thing to take in account is what storyline agent your agent "links" too mine links to one that sends me on courier missions into lowsec around 50% of the time but its not highly populated lowsec so no biggie in a transporter
why ppl still run Cal navy for Toras Egassou in Motsu is beyond me
Edit: i r gud spellingz bekaurse off ma edukation

The formula is: bonus = (20+Q) * (2-SS), where Q is agent quality, and SS is agent location security status. Resulting value is percentage of basic gain (preset for a given mission), ranged from 60% for Q-20 in 1.0 to 200% for Q20 in 0.0.
So, basically, OP is gonna lose his average income per mission if he moves to a system with higher SS, to an agent with just a bit higher quality. |

Something is wrong with that formula.
Best possible according to this: Q20 in 0.0 (-1.0) 20+20 * 2- -1 = 120
The worst one: Q-20 in 1.0 -20+20 * 2-1 = 0

Agree something seems wrong with that formula, seems to me all Q-20 missions would give 0 * X.

So best theoretical high sec would be 100 * 1.5 = 150%?

You also know how agents really calculate LP gain with the 2 specific LP skills? It aint all bonuses added together and then added to the base value, and it also aint a clean add of 5% per lvl to the current level of LP. I went from 7507 with both LP skills at lvl 4 to 8341 with both at lvl 5, so what stands for the extra LP I get when training another 5%?

I was under the impression that negotiations 5 increased your LP gain? It gives an extra 5 quality, so if quality effects LP gain then it certainly should give a boost. I get 8407 LP exactly with a Q18 agent in a 0.5 for angel extra, 10.00 standings to agent and corp, Social/Negotiation/both related connections skills 5. Unless someone is in a lower true security than me I really doubt that 8900 lp is real. I mission run for Roden Shipyards in Scheenins, True Sec: 0.537428556917133.

It does, you get an extra 1 Quality per 1.00 standings you have with that agent. Resulting in an extra 10 Quality at true 10.00 standings. Each Quality gives an extra 1% LP and Isk Payout.

It does not, I tried it very recently by training Negotiations from level 2 to level 3 and I gained no LP at all.

The only thing that matters is effective standings. I have 9.93 standings with Caldari State and I recently switched to an agent I had personal standing 0 with, increasing the personal standings gives no boost in LP. I don't know about the 1% lp per 1.0 standings, but I do know it does not have to be personal standings.

I know it doesn't have to be personal standings, sorry if I implied that in my post.
So does bonus quality have no effect on LP gain at all then?

By the looks of it bonus quality does not give higher LP gain. Only sec status, base quality and LP skills do it seems.

So far I've found two opinions on forums... Either each skill adds 1.05 per skill level separately (up to 1.25*1.25=1.5625 total bonus), or they add 1.05 per any skill level (up to 1.5 with both skills at V). Also, there is slight random modifier. It seems your base mission reward was 5250 LP or so, so you've gained about 5250*1.2*1.2 = 7560+random with skills an IV, and then 5250*1.25*1.25 = 8203+random with perfect skills. Also, maybe you've declined some missions while skills training, so your effective quality has gone down a bit, and total payout has decreased.

Negotiations skill only affects monetary gain, while 2 LP skills per given division affect LP gain. Effective standing affect the former for sure; not so sure about the latter. |

It was pretty recently I trained both LP skills to 5 and I've gotten 7507 for the big missions as far as I can remember, even when I had Caldari State standings below 9.0. I'm not so sure you get more LP with each 1.0 effective standings.

No, incorrect. With my last agent I went from 7507 to 8341 with 2 skill levels, that is more than 7507*1.05^2.
Also, with my new agent, I went from 6439 to 6687 to 6934, that is even less than 6439*1.05^2.
And if we do the collective method, with base LP * 1.5 it does not add up with my first agent. If end value is 8341 that means base would have to be 5561 LP, which would make it 7785 with both skills at 4 (5561*1.4), but in reality it was 7507.
