Last two level 4 storylines iwe gotten have been "Black Op Crisis" and "A Desperate Rescue" both basicly requires you to move 7500m3 of whatever 3-4 jumps into lowsec from starting point. so far so good dont minding risking a transport ship for a decent reward but no luck both missions where around 300.000 isk reward with a whooping 300.000 isk extra if done in like 3 hours. oh well atleast they will give good standing increase... but no .. not even that under 2% standing increase
so basicly why is this a lvl 4 storyline? should be a lvl 3 considering the payout, either add more standing increase or add a 0 to the rewarded isk to bring them inline with most other storylines

I usually use that little button labeled 'Decline' for those. It's a shame to run 16 missions and get those for a storyline, but sh!t happens.

Hi there. I've read other forum posts with similiar complaints especially on some of the newer storyline missions recently released by CCP. I've read that the rewards are at least partially based on player completion statistics and adjust in time. So if it is a new SL mission then the rewards will likely be low until enough pilots run that particular mission and the database (or whatever is being used to track this information) has had time to adjust the rewards for it.

This pretty much. All missions are pre-nerfed. Once people start running them, they will show their true reward level.

hi there, these missions aren't long enough to even give a better reward, I mean look at the standard level 4 couriers, it really won't get better, if anything it looks like they have gone down, or maybe I Just have better social skills as I remember getting a 2.4% increase.
the missions are ****ty, don't make excuses for them.

keep a blockade runner handy for a change or pace. or just decline. imo, all storylines should be at least 3-part arcs. ________________________________ : Forum Bore 'Em : Foamy The Squirrel - [jedi handwave] "There is no spoon." |

What these guys said. The lower rewards are a temporary thing only.

Wouldn't setting a higher start value fix this for future mission additions? ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...

It would, but I doubt they will ever do that.

More to the point, there's not really anything to "fix" ù the system will already set itself to a proper level over time and trying to second-guess where it will end up doesn't really change anything. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

What is temporary? I ran 144 L4 missions over a 4 month period, 6 of the 9 storylines were the new crap courier missions. Do we have to wait years for the "adjustment" to occur? I don't buy this line of reasoning or the rationale behind this whole situation.
It's a nerf to Level IV mission runners, plain and simple. With so many players getting the shaft this way and declining these missions, this will extend the adjustment time even farther down the road. I call BS on this one.

What division is your SL agent in? If he's in Accounting or Archives, you're doing pretty good. Ofc if he's in Command or Surveillance, that's pretty bad indeed.

This is indeed temporary. The problem is it's temporary by CCP standards, so it will be 5 to 10 years till they get better.

for a crappy courier they won't get better.
that and most of the combat level 4s take all of a few mins to complete and yet they all still give the same reward a nice juicy ~8% standing boost.

Wait, so missions give better and better rewards the MORE people run them? How does that make sense?

Close but not quite. Missions give more balanced rewards the more they are run. As completion data accumulates, all missions will converge on the same reward levels for the same (average) completion times. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Ah ok. That makes more sense.
So in theory, if a bunch of people accepted missions then went AFK while doing them then turned them in hours later, everyone would make more money afterwards?

Yes. But that "bunch" would have to beà ehmà quite large, and they'd have to do those missions slowly often (an odd combination in and of itself) for it to make much of an impact on the statistics. Mission runners are quite numerous after all. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Drat. Does it count time from mission acceptance until completion, or just time spent inside.
I could see this being viable if you accepted missions then kept them for 6 days while running stuff for other agents.
