S0 after some searching on the internet I could not find an awnser So I am going to ask here. How much DPS should a pilot with heavy assualt ships lvl4 be able to put out with a zealot. My current setup can put up 307 DPS with scorch loaded. With conflag it can put out 430+ DPS. Is there something im doing wrong or am i doing this right?

What dps exactly are you comparing this to? Your fit? Your gunnery skills?

Edited by: Crazy Megalodon on 09/02/2011 03:38:18 This is my fit: with scorch loaded it can push out 300ish DPS like I said earlier. My toon has 6.5million SP in gunnery, all mainly in Energy Weapons. Problem is is the amount of DPS with my skills/ setup seems low. Am I doing something wrong? I like to have a tank on my ship and am not a fan of glass cannons. For the DPS I'd say you have 4 choices if you want more
1 Third heatsink 2 Swap out HP2s in highs, got 406 eft dps with them+scorch and 2 HS, max skill 3 Damage implants 4 Damage rigs
You can mix and match some of those to increase your DPS. The easiest, fitting wise anyway, is some 3% implants. That or drop a trimark for a burst/collision 1-2. Anything else will require tinkering with your set up and with that plate it's a real tight fit as it is.
I'd say it's time to bust out some eft magic and see what your options are with rigs/implants.

You tank heavily your ship, why wondering about low DPS then?

You have Focused Pulse Lasers and are seriously asking why you are lacking in DPS? Are we being trolled? I'd hope so.

Zealot is for armour hac gangs or sniper hac gangs, if you want to solo or roam in mixed fleets just use a Cane/Harbinger instead. That said if you are intending to fly in ahac fleets then this is pretty much optimal without unnecessary pimpage.
EWAR mids to suit fc/fleet composition.

Yes I See alot of talk about a Harbringer. Ive flown the harb for a long time now (awesome ship btw) but imlookin for a change in shiptype to keep eve fun in fleet. That and my Heavy Assualt ship skills need some attention.

If you want to solo in the Omen hull, try the ONI.

Best DPS Zealot is shield nano zealot :
What you should have is 44km optimal with scorch 3x Heat sink and Heavy Pulses. Focused pulses are waste of time.
Fit would be something like this :
[Zealot, New Setup 2] Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Large Shield Extender II Conjunctive Radar ECCM Scanning Array I
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M
Medium Auxiliary Thrusters I Medium Energy Burst Aerator I
470 dps with scorch at 44+8.2km range tracks and blasts any frigate in seconds and is very fast and manouverable for 0.0 roams ( zealot is poor solo boat no drones and no utility high slots etc ).
589 dps wiht multifrequency at 15+8.2 range again great tracking. 678 dps with overload.
Speed up to 2700 m/s ( 2000 normal 2700 overload ) can hit and run decently well considering that you should always be at 40km range delivering nice dps to the enemies :)

Two heatsinks minimum except when to be used as bait.
As far as I am concerned that goes for all ships with damage bonuses .. maximize the bonuses inherent in the hulls.
Scour the markets for cheap +3% implants. Not a lot, but every little bit counts when going for that most hallowed top spot on mails!
