I flew this harbinger for a while.
[Harbinger, nano harb]
7x Heavy Pulse Laser II Small Energy Neutralizer II
Warp Disruptor II Large Shield Extender II Small Capacitor Booster II Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Damage Control II 3x Heat Sink II 2x Nanofiber Internal Structure II
3x Medium Core Defence Field Extender I
5x Vespa EC-600
vs Hurricane - demolishes it. Faster than a non-nano shield cane, and the medium ecm drones keep the cane jammed quite a bit - allowing you to kill it or gtfo if backup shows up.
vs myrm - any bc against a myrm will have trouble breaking a good active tank - just kite it and try to outlast it, and it's trivial to gtfo if you can't.
vs drake - yeah, the drake is the best bc, you won't be beating a well flown drake.
Generally, you want to kite the enemy around 20km. It's a nice ship to learn to nano in since the ecm drones will most of the time save you if you **** up and get within web/scram range. Use scorch, always be pumping cap boosters to keep your cap up.
If you have AWU V, a PG4 and a kza2000, you can fit a medium gremlin neut in the highs and quite handily take on frig fleets too.

Is the small cap booster enough to keep the guns firing under neuts? Specifically the two medium neuts that most canes will fit?
If you are in medium neut range you are doing it wrong. Kite as close to 20km as you can - apart from not being neuted, it also greatly reduces AC damage due to falloff mechanics and hit quality (35% damage at falloff IIRC).

Also that's AC hurricane you're talking about right? Proper arty cane does identical dps at range with guns alone while having considerably more ehp.
I've never fought an arty cane 1v1 in the shield harb - lots of ac canes though.

EDIT Can mostly disregard the PP advantage it's too trivial, it's more apparent when shooting other shield hurricanes due to 60% armor em resist it seems. Didn't check it before.
Not exactly sure what you're saying here. I've fought both shield and armor canes - and I generally find armor canes easier to fight since their agility is crap and you can see when they are trying to make an overheated MWD charge at you.

Originally by: CraigGamerPsycho I kinda agree with OP. To anyone who disagrees they jus can't face up to the fact they spent so much time and sp in order to fly an arby. I was in same situation before i ttrained all races. Face it, every other BC beats harby hands down. You have Canes with their insane damage output, you have drakes with their godly tank, and myrms able to do tripple rep setups so pretty much unkillable. Compare these against the harb pvpwise and theres no competition. Hence its only decnt for pve even then only in amarr space .... FAIL! rightt there.
If you look at the top of this page, you'll see that the OP actually found success with the harbinger.
