What do u guys think about providing extra epic arch missions for each lvl? (i.e. level one through four instead of the current setup.) I kind enjoyed the first one that I completed while it provided an cool short story to read. Also, somehow streamline the way you rank agents in the game. Making the progression from level one to four a little better because the current system to me is hodge-podge.

Yea, sorry that I posted this to the wrong forum. Guess a mod will move this thread to the correct location.

Yeah, that would be cool to have some more levels of Epic Arcs.
We already have the level 1 Sisters of Eve Epic Arc which is for all Factions.
Each of the 4 Empire Factions have a level 4 Epic Arc.
Could have each of the 4 Empire Factions have a level 2 Epic Arc and then have the Sisters of Eve do another Epic Arc, a level 3, which would again be available to all Factions like the level 1 arc.
The 2 Pirate Faction Epic Arcs are considered level 3. CCP has plans of creating other Pirate Faction Epic Arcs, no telling when that will happen.
As for streamlining how players advance to higher level agents, I don't really see a need for that considering it can be done very quickly. Most new players don't really understand yet how to advance up in Agent levels quickly.
I think the system right now is too easy for new players to get a Battleship and have access to level 4 agents within their 1st month of playing Eve. There's a lot of other skills that really should be trained up before that happens, such as Core Fitting Skills, Social Skills, etc.
A little known fact about Eve: High Faction standing allows access to all Agents of all Corporations within that Faction.
Most players think you have to grind 16 regular missions to receive a Storyline mission for Faction standing increase. This is true but there are also various different Event_Agents that offer missions for Faction standing increase.
I've listed them along with guide links in the Faction Standing Repair Plan. This 'Plan' can be used to increase positive Faction standings as well as repair negative Faction standings.

Edited by: ACESsiggy on 10/02/2011 14:15:21 DeMicheal, didn't know players could progress to lvl 4 agents in a month. I guess I'm one of those grinding 16 missinos for a storyline to increase faction standings lol. So looks like I'll be changing how I'm doing agent missions. And yea, hopefully they will streamline game progression and add some cool epic arcs at each lvl.

The problem with this is that L2 and L3 are only stepping stones from L1->L4 and most player blaze through them in a month or so.
The Noob Epic ARc is great because it gives new players a guided tour of empire space and introduces them to most of the pirate factions and several PVE techniques.
The L4 Epic Arcs are a good test of a solo BS fit (they are more like L4.5), even though the rewards suck.
L2 and L3 arcs would be fun, but most players would simply run them in a HAC, Command Ship or T3 and blitz them, which kinda defeats the point!

Thats why I feel they should streamline missions and the progression of players. I think a player most achieve xyz goals in order to move on to the next level.

Ahhh so you mean you would force players to complete a certain Epic Arc in order to unlock the next level of agents, regardless of standings?
I support this idea.

I don't. don't screw with chokepoint content in a sandbox. sure, higher level missions are gated by standings - there's several ways to earn standings (working for an agent on missions is currently the easiest, is all.) - if I want to run L4s and don't want to deal with mission grinding up to them, there are ways to do that.
if you gate the content behind two epic arcs it'll be cool the very first time you do them for a particular faction.. and after that they'll be annoying unless you're the sort who would do them anyway.

Choke point? where do u see a potential choke point in game prgression? Anywayz, levels affect lp rewards and isk received from the agent (difficulty too).
