i want to make a 2nd account, so i created a trial account through the buddy system. free 21 days.
my question is, if i use a plex bought in game using isk, to "extend/activate" the trial accounts time, will it give my main account the buddy system bonus (30 days free time) still?

And if it doesn't then you can petition and then CCP will add the 30. I haven't heard of it not happening in awhile, though, so there probably won' be any issues.

Yep, I've gotten 4 free months doing just that. Works fine.

Stop being such a cheapskate and use your card to setup a subscription already! I mean, what's wrong with you?
PLEX is good, sometimes very useful, but it's not supposed to be the be-all end-all of subscription payments. If you want more than one account then you should bloody well spend your cash properly.

Soo porably a dumb question.... But I am at work atm so cant have a look.
If I have 1x 30 plex on main can I contract it to my new alt then when I use with the alt will it automatically upgrade from trial or am I doing it worng??
That part is a grey arear for me.

If your alt is still a trial account, then no. Trial accounts can't use contracts. You can transfer the money over, allow the alt access to your corp wallet to buy one, or if you can get them both logged on together then do a station trade with the PLEX.

Just done some searching around and it would appear that you can contract / give money to ppl on trial accounts. They just cant create contracts them selves.
Going to give it a go once I get home.

Yes. This is the intended use of the buddy system, really (well, for other people, not for your alt)-- it allows you to give a friend 50 free days instead of 20 at no additional cost to yourself.
