Hi.
been playing some cat and mouse with the gang tonight.
at one point we were at Jump gate.
there where a few of us and only one gang member.
hard as i try i could not target the chap.
getting some odd message about "Mojo"
i put this down to the green.
but none of the other gang member could target either.
plus the gang member just sat there and didnt target us either.
this went on for long enuf to have a battle twice over.
what was going on ?
our whole gang was unable to target.
seems the gang member was unable to target also.
most odd indeed.

I had something about mojo too, not being able to target... the guy that had it was Mastema from the gang... is this an actual item or not?

tottaly correct, was Mastema as well for us.
let me point out one thing.was a total gig. much fun.
just whats with the target jamming of 4 ships at one time and whats with the Mojo bit ?
is this an actualy item ?
or an explote ?

How close were you? because there are very deadly "area of effect"-ECM modules, thou I can't remember the names at the moment, what I do know that the pirate drop version has a ECM-strenght of 8.

we was about 20m odd away.
question is why did he not target us ?
unless you cant target and use scrambler at same time,but that isnt correct.

My shuttle targeted him when he targeted me.
My shuttle also exploded twice (I returned to get a new one) because of his inexperience.
I might post it here but I think I managed to teach him how to be a highway robber and what the word "negotation" means (hint.. it includes making a counter-offer).
It was an hilarious episode with Mastema who is obviously new in all of this and then his CEO quipped in with a few great punchlines (well I thought it was funny while he was dead serious).

Here's a tip to avoid being target jammed, use an ECM booster array. Use one that compliments your ships natural strength, I.E. Gravometric, Ladar, Radar, or Magnometric. Let them wannabe uber pirates come try and jam me =P

Mojo is probably the name of his ship.
Similar messages have been seen like "Cannot target due to warp field around xxx," fill in the blank.
As you know, when you jump into a place you can't target for a few seconds.
You are also invul for a few sec and cannot BE targeted.
If someone warps in, you start to target them, you can't. Keep trying - eventually it will work.
However, the moment it's "allowed" to work is also the moment the would-be target is allowed to warp again... and off they go.
Warp in chasing someone, it's funny. Try target 10 million times in a row while they're trying to warp out... Your magnetic field is realigning Your magnetic field is Your magnetic field is Your magnetic field is Target is no longer present.
The runner always wins. ALWAYS. Someone trying to flee will succeed 100% of the time, minus only lag events - which i think is what y'all saw in this particular instance.
I saw this message with full ECCM going, btw.
Ask Tank CEO about it, he'll tell you a funny story about us... ;)

I have modules that can do this, it's nothing special. I bet if you closed to 10k you would have been able to get a target lock. It all just depends on how many they are using.
