So apparently Eve-central is going away (which makes me a sad panda). I know Eve-central has its users download a tool that runs in the background and it collects some form of data from Eve.
My question is, is there a program that you can use that takes that same data Eve-central uses and compiles it into list format, or some other form?
I understand that it takes a long time to run market scans, and thats why Eve-central has that place for "suggested items to look at". I also realize that this would only be useful for the current region you are in.
My plan if such a thing would be to just sit an alt in the region I want on a different computer, run the program and it collects the data for me. I don't care if it takes 3 hours as I only need a rough update every two days.

Short answer, yes. But the fact that you're asking if its possible probably means thats its not really something that you could code. I'm not sure if there are any standalone tools that feed a private db you could pull from. Off the cuff I would say that there aren't. Though I do know that such utilities and db's exist.

Search for 'libevecache'. This a C++ library that you can code a custom tool if you want. Or you can use the included 'dumper.exe' that will go through your cache and output everything to the DOS window. Which you can then pipe into a text file.

Yes, there are tools already programed for this. One of which will download market data as you view it and collect it in a list similar to the Market screen in game. Gives you a list buy/sell locations filtered by item, not by region. You can even compare from buy and sell, kind of see if there is ANY trade possibilities.
The problem is.. it's not been updated for a while, a long while. The items it recognizes are about 5 versions of Market items behind so it makes it pointless, but yes, what you ask IS possible, I've seen it, and used it for a while. Project went dead, guy left EVE, website for the development shutdown so even the source is not available, and I've looked for it.
The next closest thing is - EVE Market Scanner There is ways to make the logs auto export from Cache, but it slows down the program a LOT. Although I haven't use it recently so that may have been fixed.
