EVEmon self-updated recently, and ever since it has refused to work, telling me that it needs something called .net v4 and that I should contact whoever made the program.
Why is this new requirement introduced to EVEmon now? And where can I safely get the necessary .net thingie? And is it free or would I have to pay for it?

.Net 4.0
This is the full redistributable not just a bootstrapper. I'd always download this from Microsoft too. It is free (although I am not ure if it will install on a pirate copy of Windows).
It's required as the latest release of EVEmon requires this version of .Net. Simple as.

From my understanding it wont install on pirated versions of windows.

Thanks, I've downloaded it, but it says 64 in the file name, and I'm using Windows XP Pro 32 bit (and it's a legit Windows). Should I still install it, or look for a 32 bit version? -- Salpad |

Thanks for the help, I installed the net think from the link, then was not asked to reboot. When I tried starting EVEmon I was prompted to download a .net downloader thing, which I did. I ran it and it downlaoded and installed something (.net twice?), still no reboot, and after that I was able to launch EVEmon, which asked to update.
After the update, it sems to be working, but both my characters are training Unknown skill II, the Noctis.
Will this fix itself, or do I need to get new API keys? I haven't asked to have my API keys changed in the last many months, but has CCP changed something?
It makes little sense, because if CCP changed something, then my current old API keys shouldn't work at all, but they clearly work at least partially.

After somewhat more than an hour of waiting, I was able to use the "update character sheet" function, and the two skillz being trained now show correctly as Ore Industrial.
Thanks for the help! Case closed.
