Well mastering which monitor to look at is not too hard ...of one monitor. Blackouts from warp tunnels I can usually shake out of given time. But so far my tolerance ends, that I've found, when I spin the ship in the hanger round and round really fast, wake up on the floor the next morning or so with a keyboard print across my forehead.
Are there any tricks to increase tolerance that may work? How do you overcome them yourself? And is waking up on the floor the limit, or should I expect worse as I increase tolerance? thx in advance |

You possibly drank too much and played eve if when you login next you do so with one eye closed, as you do the risky "am i still alive and where am i if i am" login thing.
One eye closed makes the news half as bad, obviously. Also if this makes sense you are likely hungover and did something very bad. http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/4375/mynewsig2.jpg |

The next morning:
You wake up on the sofe, no idea how you got there.
Your wife looks madly at you as she leaves for work.
You phone in sick.
You go into your computer room to find the bottle of Jack, empty.
You switch your computer on.
You get the message 'computer not shut down properly'.
You wait out scan disc, log into windows.
You open EVE to find the client corrupted, run repair tool.
You finally long into EVE to find your character is floating in space 25 hostile jumps from your home system...and it's now thier primetime.
You log out and go back to bed realising that you decided to end your play time by drunkenly switching the PC off at the wall...

When you're drunk and tired enough where you are nodding off at the computer. Nothing like cruising low sec and hitting the warp button and nodding off mid-warp, only to wake up 5 minutes later sitting at the other gate uncloaked... waking up JUST barely in time enough to warp before the incoming pirate locks you.
In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse. |

Let me answer this way: If you are endangered to make detrimental decisions, which you would not have done by being dry, then you are "too drunk". And if you don't have reasonable control over yourself anymore due to alcohol, you're also "too drunk". ... "too drunk" for any action being of value.
Simply know the limit which changes your behaviour, and don't cross that line again (after discovering). |

The trick practised by alcoholics everywhere is to drink more - then after a while you won't get drunk anymore, you'll need alcohol just to say sober and to keep the spiders away.

That reminds me of what Bill Cosby said when he asked guy , "What is the great thing about drugs?"
The guy replied, "It intensifies your personality."
Cosby, "Yeah, but what if you're an *******?" If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |
