What ships have you found can kill a large variance of shiptypes solo?
Discluding frigates.
Price irrelevant.

My favorite solo ships are the maelstrom (with my tengu gang booster alt) and ashimmu (true solo). Their list of prey is pretty short however. The maelstrom is only effective against BC's and up and I use the ashimmu mostly for going after small frigate gangs (5 or less) if solo. Said frigates can be t1/t2 or faction, it doesn't really matter.
Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

As far as target selection goes, its the Curse for me.
Since your thread title says favourite, its definitely Pilgrim though. I love that ship.

The arbitrator, while I'm training for recon 5. Found a nice fit that includes an expanded probe launcher and decent buffer + resists. My wins/losses are equal, but it's just so mucj fun. One gate camp and I'm screwed though...
I like my pvp non consential ;)

Drakes AND Canes :) Nano-shield for both, Drake is OP vs. BCs and bigger (tho I like see Vagas/Cynas go down piloting it), but Cane pwns frigs and cruisers more aggressively - yet lacks the DPS projection against larger stuff that you want to stay away from.

VIGILANT! ******ed cruiser EHP. Decent speed (**** agility).. -90% web; nice lock time. Drones...
Fking YUM.
Can't argue with Curse and Cane either.

How does it compare to the Deimos? Should I check that ship out?

Depends on what you plan on killing. If you plan on ganking helpless ratters then I would say Harbinger. Its offensive weapons are the most effective versus the overtanked passive shield ships commonly used in PVE, and it has enough of a buffer to outlast their DPS.
For high sec empire wars, an Astarte with a faction web.
For low sec, a Tempest or a Geddon.
For 0.0, Pilgrim, Curse, or Cynabal.
But I do prefer frigates for solo, really. Specifically Interceptors.

can you give some reasons why vigilant over proteus or navy vexor? a t2 fit proteus does similar dps and has tons more EHP, and isnt MUCH more expensive. a navy vexor does more dps, costs 4 times less and has BC-like EHP.

does the same thing as the brutix at about the same EHP and dps, except it can hit for 400dps 10-30km. electrons + dual webs will wtfpwn any little friggie. obviously not a solo fit. has less commitment than typical blaster gank boats. "bc-like EHP" was an overstatement but it can hold its own in smaller gang engagements.

Edited by: Machiavelli''s Nemesis on 24/02/2011 22:48:37 Loki. Set up with shield resist, web range, covops cloak, and agility bonus (lowsec) or nullifier (null).
Reasonably tough (60k ehp or so); reasonably fast (obviously not to the same degree as a cynabal but still); 400ish DPS.
The cloak gives me time and space to weigh up my chances before I engage, faction scram, faction (and bonused) web and faction neut basically let me dictate range on most targets. I've had some hilarious fights flying one of these.

I'm actually fond of the Vexor.
Fit it in a mad enough way, and you'll be able to down quite a number of people you really shouldn't be able to. Of course, mad fits are, by definition, kind of crazy, so you'll blow up a lot. But hey, it's a T1, and K:D is for munchkins, the real fun is in kill counts and close calls.
(From the other perspective, t3s have killed a large variety of MY ships, so probably t3s are good for it.) ---

I <3 my shield cane unless I'm rolling in an armor fleet, then I'm all about the armor-cane.
On armor cane, you can sub those two extra mids for an amazing combo of:
Disrupt/Scram Dual webs (for station and gate games) Sebo/whatever else.
