Darkness has asked for a private loan, terms to be agreed with the investor(s).
Seems to me, you would either lend it or not depending on the risk perceived.
Why would he need to provide an audit or disclose his business here?
Open forum posting leads to open discussions. If for example raw23 wants a 'private loan' he approaches them 'in private'.The discussion of the details on the loan will be done in private yes but posting this on an open forum will appeal to open discussion.SOmething darknesss probably allready knew and expected is my assumption.

This is one of the few times that I think doing this in private would have worked out better than trying to do it on MD.

Hello guys,
I'm currently in work so I apologise if my wording does not appear completely clear in advance.
Firstly thanks to people for sticking up for my reputation :)
I completely understand the views of Raw and some others, I really do. It is not my intention to be too shady or quiet, but there are things I would rather not be in public domain such as my NAV. If there is a reputable auditor I would be happy to allow him to view those assets, which he would see could easily cover the loan I am asking for. It would also show that my investment is 100% safe ie. not locked up in assets at risk. I would not want the auditor however to give out full details of what the NAV is or where the assets are held/what they are.
I also understand the point about having multiple 65b loans, as a counter to this I would be happy to announce the name of my investor or the name of one of his alts to confirm open and publicly that this is the only loan I have accepted preventing me from dooping lots of people out of it and going for what some could call an end-game scam.
As I said before if I cannot reach an agreement with an investor about the level of privacy I would like then I simply wont take out a loan. I fully accept this may be the case!

Respect for not being a douchebag knowitall like most repboys darknesss
The main key to wanting someone to view your assets mostly has to do with the curzon dax scam.People then assumed he would have X amount of wealth wich in the end prove to be quite different.
Appearantly these days people actually 'learn' in here .
Allthough i would add that to some ,amongst wich me , the verification would not be the key trigger it might give that extra push for those in doubt.Still even without an audit/verification i am still expecting someone to convo/mail you soonish since it seems unlikely to me that no one would take this offer.

Learn... BAH what is this!
Only kidding. Yeah i'll be the first to admit i'm not familiar with these forums or how things work here, and apart from the huge scam ie. Bad Bobby I dont really hear much about them either.
I want something quick, simple and straight forward for me as much as the potential investor.
It was merely a little idea that was niggling at me and I thought no harm in putting it out there and seeing what comes back.

Unless you are contracting items worth 65b isk to the lender this is not 100% safe.

Indeed I meant that the capital will be 100% safe. Whether you think i'll run off with it is another matter.

Is there some level of NAV you would be comfortable making public? For instance, if you were to say that it is over 300bil then I would expect most people would be happy if the auditor simply confirmed this whether or not it is, in fact, over a trillion. Obviously, the higher the figure you are willing to make public the lower the perceived proportional return would be from scamming.
As to the possibility of an endgame scam, the key is to get things in the right order, so rather than announcing the deal once the isk has been transferred (which would still have value in preventing any doubling up beyond that point), the best thing to do, imo, would be to confirm the agreement in the thread before any isk changes hand. If you say you won't take isk before publicly confirming who you will be taking it from then anyone who is asked to transfer isk to you will be able to refer to the thread to confirm that they are the only lender(s).
I also still think it would be a good idea to give at least a general sketch of what the isk will be used for, which can be done without giving away any specific niches.

I have made the following offer to Darknesss
1% paid weekly on an unsecured loan of 60 to 65 billion ISK. with the agreement that I will not require the ISK back before June (unless he wants to payback).
I came to this offer on the basis of a chat ingame. No API Key has been handed and no audit of assets has been performed.

Originally by: RAW23 But these are all tools I personally would want to apply when investing on MD in people I don't really know much about otherwise. I would expect this to fill from people who know Darkness in game and have something other to go on than just a risk assessment (or from someone who clearly has too much isk like Aishwari Rai (spelling?)).

After speaking with aishwarya (a nice man indeed) he has made me a very fair offer. I will give someone else time to do a counter offer, if no other offers are received I will either accept the offer or decline it and close the thread/request.
Also thankyou to Raw and others for advice, I certainly lack the experience in MD :)

Anything 5% or lower I was considering, the final decision though wasnt about the interest rate though, the interest was more than fair!
