yoyo, me and my nephew just started playing eve again after a long stop.
We decided we wanted to pvp together, where before we (individualy) did mostly pve. He has about 11mil sp, mostly in caldari.
I have almost 4 mil sp, most in gallente.
We are looking for 2 ships that complement each other, and are suitable to duo/small gang pvp with.
We are not looking to be able to fly them right away, but to train for them to fly them to be able to fly them in about 3 months time.
any good combos? tnx!

falcon and arazu?
just make sure you web them or cap them out tho cause even jammed and scrambled they can still MWD out of point range and GTFO

It depends what you are hunting, there would be better choices in other races, but since you are trained for caldari and gallente and you are not expert (both in SP and real skills) i'd say: 2 ceptors, or 2 bc (drake + myrm). Upgrading your skills will open more choices, but they will be more expensive too.

alright, scepter for me (gallente) is a good idea i guess, was training for that anyway. Would it be a bad idea for my nephew to take his t2 fitted drake to the party? Or do you guys seriously recommend he crosstrains to be viable for small gang pvp?, if so to what (taking my gallente interceptor/assault ship into account)

Bomber and a falcon. The bomber alone can kill a lot solo but with the falcon it can take out the harder targets.

well.. not sure what you and your nephew can fly but 2 thoraxes can dish out some good damage, but since he is caldari, maybe thorax/manticore? not expensive and could be efficient. I wouldn't recommend blackbird as you still do need to pack some dps.
2x buffer bombers can be deadly as well, but pick your targets carefully and read up on tactics, have different missile types in cargo etc.

Nope. Scrammed means they have to use an afterburner to your MWDs, meaning the only thing that could possibly escape is something that goes faster than you guys with an afterburner.
Two ships to duo with... theres too many, both of you should just use whatever you want.

Twin BC's can be a terror. only real way to stop them is a bigger gang, otherwise they will eather kill you or you can run away.
