Hey everyone,
The first time I went through 0.0 space as a shortcut I got promptly got trapped in a warp bubble thing and killed in my Velator by someone who welcomed me to Eve.
Fair enough, but since I'm playing a mining char I wanted to get out and check out the ORE agents. But seeing as how they're all in 0.0 space I don't really want to get killed 38 jumps in by someone who needs to wave their **** at a newbie.
Are there any considerations I should make before I take my journey out there? Are the solar systems that ORE agents live in controlled by player alliances? How hard is it to run missions out there?

I was asking the same question here, and got a few replies if you'd like to take a look.

Are you running for ISK or for the standings?
If it's just for the standings and you don't mind spending a bit over Empire market prices to get set up, AND you have a spare jump clone you could try this : buy something cheap with a quick align time, fit with nanofibre etc. (Going by your "shooting at noobs" comment I'm guessing you can't fly / dont want to risk a covert ops ships. Thats fine, a disposable T1 frig is fine for this part.)
Fly out there with no auto-pilot and no distractions, preferably right after downtime while the Bad People are still reading forums / eating lunch. Head for 4C-B7X or NM-DEA as systems with ORE stations but use eve-agents.com first to figure out which agents you need to start with. Scurry in to a station and dock up.
Now purchase what you need to do the missions in that system or nearby. You won't get exactly what you want and it will be higher prices than Jita - but you can definitely get a decent ship of some sort and modules to go in it. Keep your cheap fast frig for running round collecting the shopping. Update your medical clone to somewhere nearby while you're working out in the deep.
You now have an ORE base with a mission ship, and you can now jump-clone there instantly to do some more nullsec ORE work whenever you want - without having to go through the high-to-low and low-to-null camping grounds again, and without going through them in something with the align/jump time of a small country.
Of course it's never going to be "safe" but the biggest chance of getting killed by wombats is closer to highsec where the bully-boys try and catch rookies or people who strayed in to low/null that aren't used to it. A long way out it's usually relatively civilised, but obviously you can get shot at any time.

You forget that there is a high standing requirement for jump clones.

Edited by: Tyburn Stannis on 02/03/2011 12:40:54 You can get jump clones without any standings or grind by using a jump clone corp, probably the most famous being Estel Arador.

Thanks for the tips, sounds like I'll need to stay in highsec just a bit longer to get into a faster ship!
