alt, with a terrible name... .... sorry
also.. ty to tore and dual monitorness (just there ^).. i may have to go out and buy 1 right now
i use a ati4770, but usually enuf to run crysis and play tunes with my resource demanding net client... is more ram necessary wud you say as well?
the card i use has 1gb and board 6gb. thats plenty and never fully used. i guess 2gb are enough if your running xp. with win7 4gb should be fine.

for low sec exploration: dramiel (tank) + bomber (DPS).
since MWD works in missions pockets now, most of lvl 4 missions walk in the park.

Quote: Well if you are running with a Tengu (or anything BC or smaller for that matter) you don't want to put salvagers on your orca anyway.
Load the highs with tractors and use it to wreck ball then once everything is dead swap out to a dedicated salvage boat (Dessi) and vacuum everything up. then swap back and move to next pocket.
Guess you haven't tried it both ways then. I can have the mission already salvaged in the Orca by the time the tengu finishes.

My dual box setup is currently a Vargur + Tengu running different missions a hundred jumps apart.

0.0 exploration: Tengu (omgwtfbbq dps) + Proteus (cloakynullifyscout + analyser/codebreaker/salvager/tractor + small drone support for frig heavy situations such as the guristas 6/10)
0.0 anomalies: Tengu (vaporizes everything) + Thanatos (vaporizes battleships)
Exceptional torpedo-in-your-face adventures like The Maze: Ishtar (tank, T2 sentry dps) + Dominix (logistics, T2 sentry dps). No problem, just time the domi warpin right

Maybe your Tengu isn't killing as fast, I found I'd still be tractoring wrecks in after the last rat died. That and the cycle/salvage time on an non-bonused salvager isn't exactly super fast and sure as hell ain't putting a salvage tackle on an Orca (run mine with purgers).
Course I had a 3rd account so my attention was more divided and I was probably putting out more DPS than a single Tengu.

My bad, I forgot to say I only salvage BS's and BC's. That was another thread I mentioned that, thought it was this one.
For exploration I throw a cloak on the Orca and keep a thrasher/drake/tengu/probe in the Orca. Obviously I have to fly at least one of those at all times. Sit outside of the hole cloaked in the Orca and use it as a mobile base of operations.
A great M.O. I found is to travel from one mission area to another with the probe scouting and the Orca on AP. Great combo for hisec, not so good for .4 or less.

The best dps combo for lvl5s was bhaalgorn + nightmare. Nm optimized for omfg tank+gank+remote shields just in case for bhaal, bhaal optimized for cap production->3 cap transfers+ some webbing ability. Since worked for caldari agent, I was shooting mainly drones and gallentes so this was an ideal setup. The only problem is there are no more highsec lvl5 missions:(
gank - almost 2000 dps with optimal 33km range just from guns(18 effective tachyons t2 power) tank - 1500-1900 depending on your budget (cn invuls/ pith x-large booster) neut - sustainable cap up to 2.5 t2 neut batteries (80cap/s extra) webbing - up to 28km (2 fed navy webs so about 75%)

Rattlesnake with a uniform tank of about 420, stable with AB off. Two omni's, drone rigs (sentry damage + 2 scope II's) bring me just under 500dps from the drones. Nightmare with TACHYONS. Drones assist nightmare while rattlesnake takes aggro. TBH the snake is a bit overtanked for alot of missions, but its only really there for drone damage :)
Was considering a dual box nightmare setup (feeding each other cap) or even a triple box of 2 nightmares and a snake...

I had always thought a tank tengu and a gank golem would be the most effective setup.
But Im not gonna train a golem alt to find out.
