Edited by: Tian Nu on 06/03/2011 22:44:07 When I used the Hyperion to run lvl 4Ęs I found that it performs as good at the mega navy but I canĘt put hand on any fits probably was using 350 guns.
Kind easy to fit tbh all mods T2

The tank you need to switch hardeners depending dmg running cap stable perma one rep the sec rep is to give you time to get out if something go wrong like lag, is good chip to run missions in gallente space, used to run for chemal tech with alt to boost standings.

Megathron. Tracking is incredibly important at short ranges
...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Sry fixed 4U, my current Hyp fit that never matches what the Mega navy can spit/tank out but OC the Navy Mega is expensive, too much expensive considering the anemic DPS you can spit with knowing i'm using Faction MagStabs and Facion ammo.

Im going to assume this is for PVP, I like them both. Plated they get similar DPS but the Hyperion gets dual webs (At least when I fit) and the megathron gets the neut + tracking bonus. Not sure which is actually better there.
Blaster BS have alot of flaws tho

Edited by: Whitehound on 07/03/2011 14:10:24 Actually it is the Hyperion which is the better blaster ship. The Megathron was designed to be a railgun ship. The Megathron has got the longer targeting range and the tracking bonus of the Megathron is meant for railguns to hit targets at a closer range.
You will however find the tracking bonus on the Megathron helpful with blasters and you can fit both ships in a way that they become equally good blaster boats. The Hyperion only needs a tracking computer and then gets the same tracking speeds as the Megathron.
The Hyperion has got a shorter targeting range but a faster locking speed. It also flies faster, is slightly more agile, comes with a stronger capacitor and gets a bonus to armor repair amount, which makes it more robust for close range combat.
I have recently posted two blaster fittings for each here. --

Buffer mega fits are obvious. If you want something scary then consider this. Note: CPU does not quite fit but mess with a named module and it will. I cba to do that bit.

With the current state of game mechanics, Mega wins out because the tracking bonus is integral as broken as blasters are.
But honestly, if you REALLY want to go blasters, go Vindicator.
Otherwise, Domi. Domi > Mega/Hype as a pvp ship any day of the week.

Fun super dps, tho Void only work against BS that is webbed/scrammed, but with 4 magstab and 2x 5% damage implant and overheat you can reach ******ed amounts of dps :D k

Four mag stabs is a wasted low-slot. The penality for the fourth is so high that you only get like 5% more DPS out of it compared to three. Tracking Enhancers or Overdrive Injectors will do more for you. --

I agree. The rokh is better in a bunch of ways. It doesn't have the tracking up close, but range with Null is impressive (19km + 20 falloff) and thats REALLY useful, especially when you have to go chase down AC or pulse boats. It can go with either a great buffer tank, or can be active tanked (needs boosters to be great, but still) for solo. All of that and with space for 3x damage mods and TE. Sexy. Proper blaster ship.
A quick whip in EFT gives me 954 blaster dps w/ void @ 12.1km, 855 w/ navy @ 7.8km, depending on target, with 124k ehp just with t2 and named stuff. It's a great ship, and I lubs it a lot.

electron rokh
w/ 2x mag stab 2x navy eanms(or better) 1x repper.
and optimal+falloff rigs
meds, if you actually plan on using it past a 1 trick pony, i guess 3 web and 3 track
but if you just wana see how far it can shoot, 4 track 2 tp?
used orenario's to follow a kronos around, range and tracking was ridiculous, it could be only more so with the rokh.
