Moa has grown on me over the years. Partly because I started to realise it doesn't suck as much as people say and mostly because I'm weird, probably.

Moa is one of the ugliest ships in the game, lol.
And, btw... there were a lot of good submissions in that contest... I saw for example some very good gallente designs.

The moa is the best hull ingame. The Moa/Eagle itself may not be too hot.... But that's because railguns suck.

There were a few very pretty Amarr cruiser and battlecruiser designs that would make me cross train just to fly one .. but they weren't norminated.

The first Moa I ever bought lasted about 15 minutes.
Bought it, fitted it out (rails and heavies zomgwtfpwnzor!) and went high-sec ratting. About 5 belts in some dude warps in in something I'd never seen before, I think it was a "Vexing" (?) something or other? Either way it didnt matter, since a) it was apparently some lolGallente ride and b) I was almost 2 months old, I mean, the very definiton of 1337.
Sure enough, he takes from one of MY wrecks. That wreck was MINE! I'm thinking "Boy, you're so gonna get it now!" and proceed to lock him up. Never mind that now my heart beat had increased to over 9000 and I was sweating and my right hand was shaking so hard it was well difficult to just hit the guy with the mouse on the overview.
There! Target lock! F1-F5! Pew! Shew! I let loose my Combined Raping Armory Parade. Ha Ha! Your shields are already down by like 25%! He starts shooting back but doesn't really do a lot of damage. I have got this one In. The. Bag. Shouldn't have taken from one of MY wrecks brosef!
But what is this? Drones? I'd laugh, but this only deserves a chuckle. /me chuckles. You have no idea how many drones I've killed in L1 missions. :smug:
Now some weird bug is making my shield indicator show up in red. And now it's happening to my armor indicator, too? And quite quickly I should add!
Ok, wait. Nononononono. This is all a big misunderstanding. Whoa there fella, easy now! Hold up, I didn't mean it like that! Wait! NOOOOO!

That was my first ever PvP encounter. I've never owned a Moa since then, and never will buy one again. Like the Onyx though.

The outline of the ships might be similar, but the overall design is not.
However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs.
second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

This. The tornado is one good looking ship however I'm not a big fan of the myrm.
It's about the same as saying all the Amarr BS are identical. Sure they are all hold the same epeenishness but they are hardly identical.

So they should be. Min ships are likely to borrow extensively from existing build technology. I think the Tornado is a great example of that and I am looking forward to its release.

Nice story! To the best of my memory, my first Moa got several kills in Placid low sec before I retired it in favor of the Vexor and Myrmidon. I remember selling a Moa a few months (a year?) later and being a little sentimental over it. IIRC it was even rigged, and I couldn't find a buyer.... had to destroy the rigs and put it on the market.

its supposed to be ugly...
have you ever looked at a RL picture of a MOA?
its a 10 foot talll ostrich looking thing...
if anything the MOA need to look even uglier...
Plus the Tornado looks awesome... i was half hopping they were going to replace the Tempest skin with the Tornado skin...
