Japan has openly stated that it does not need nor want money. This is to be expected as it is a rich industrialised country, debt aside.
Right now they need trained search and rescue teams, military assets such as helicopters, and dare I say it even more emergency nuclear technicians.
If people feel so strongly about giving to the charities that are sending resources though, I'm sure a quick Google search will turn up local and national charities in each of your respective countries which will gladly accept a real-money donation.
In addition to this they'll be able to claim tax back on your donation unlike if donating via CCP.

I'd fully support this. The organization I work with IRL (a non-profit group helping MR and disabled individuals) has been working on support options. CCP has a track record (apparently :)) for helping those in trouble and it reflects wonderfully on our community.

Well I made another thread before I saw this, so giving support to this thread as well
edit: tbh I didn't even check page 2 to see if someone had already suggested it, I presumed by the fact that there isn't a plex drive on login that no one had suggested it. I don't really understand why this would need to be negotiated. And yes, I have already donated to the red cross directly.

Where is PLEX for Gaddafi? Gaddafi currently has to deal with rebels that want to destroy the state. And some terrorist states even want to establish a no fly zone to help those rebels...

So what if he slammed a dev and not just a regular moderator, who might actually have taken a course in moderating... What that dev should realize is that no-one in Japan plays EVE to begin with and the only ones offended are those nursing a Munchhausen syndrome of sorts.

PLEX for starving 3rd world country run by rogue dictators who butcher thousands and starve children to death while eating Filet Mignon every night? Yes, the Haitians needed help badly or the vast majority of the Island would have died.
PLEX for a country that's so rich, that the first Tuna bought at the beginning of every Tuna fishing season sells for tens of thousands of dollars? No, I think they can handle a tiny bit of coastline damage.

You obviously have no clue of what is happening over there if you think it's a tiny little bit of coastline damage, and you have no idea what the government's financial situation is over there either. I don't see how you can consider a country rich when their debt is 200% of gdp. Granted Japan is only asking for rescue workers at the moment, but things are getting worse there daily. They've had another 2 or 3 earth quakes and I believe 2 or 3 of the 4 nuclear reactors are now about to enter meltdown stage. There's some serious **** going on over there right now. Might want to research a little bit more before making such an uninformed statement.
