Edited by: Caviar Liberta on 12/03/2011 15:18:50 Hello,
I hope I'm not the only person having this problem. I go to client downloads Tranq (live) and it tells me
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EVE_Premium_Setup_237081.exe can't be found.
Thanks

I haven't been able to download the latest patch for the past few days either. Seems like the cdn1.eveonline.com domain is down.

Ive been down for 3 days with no training because of the same problem. No one is offering any solutions.
Guess everyone is too distracted with fanfest.

Edited by: Chief Batou on 14/03/2011 06:30:17 Edited by: Chief Batou on 14/03/2011 06:28:45 I've had this same problem since Friday and it appears it's a DNS issue. The server can not be found as 'cdn1.eveonline.com' does not resolve to an IP address.
I've managed to download the client through steam 'EVE Online Demo', however all I get with that is a brief splash-screen and exits w/out prompt or assert. I suspect this is a result of the same root issue.
Here's the old DNS info from a google search and a cached page >

I had trouble getting the latest patch as well.
Try a mirror for the patch
http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1103/evepremiumpatch229669-237081_m.zip
you can probably find the full client there as well although I don't have a direct link for you.

Yup, this is an issue with my ISP. Using Google's public DNS resolved the issue: http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html

Why would this even happen? Is it the ISPs fault? Should i be hating Comcast even more?
I had the same issue and followed the instructions http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html to fix it.

I've had this issue since last week. Can't reach it through Comcast Business or T-Mobile's DNS. A friend of mine on Time Warner can't resolve it, either.
This is a pretty silly problem to have around for this long. |
