Hi there, i have some opinions but i'd like to hear your thoughts.
1 What ship would you take into a C3 wormhole, choosing from all minmatar and amarr ships? I'm new to the WH's but i think C3 are the ones that can be done solo right? What i'd like to do is running anomalies and having occasional pvp.
2 What about a duo instead? what would be your choices?
3 What about T3 ships? What would you choose for solo and duo?
Thank you.

Since you are new, start with C1/C2 first. C3 can be hard to solo, with all the neuting and warp-scrambling. Do you really want to loose a T3 the first time you try sleepers? Because I can't see you doing a C3 in anything else solo.
A solo drake isn't feasible in a C3, sure you can do it but 1 site takes hours...is it really worth sitting there for hours for a couple of nanoribbons? No.
1-2 drakes are quite standard outfit for C1/C2. Easy to passive tank, missiles hit frig sleepers well, no need to travel like with autocannon setups.
I can fly both minnie and amarr (with alt) but haven't tried either race in a WH so can't comment on that. Hurricanes should work, Autocannon setups with passive tank.

Between amarr and minmatar I wud go amarr. Ship wise its got to be a legion although if u go minmatar its a loki which works well too. Legions can insta-pop the frigs and chew through anything bigger pretty fast too. You can do nice T2 fits that can easily tank the c3 annoms in a legion too but im not sure if u have to pimp the loki a bit.
Of course if u can fly caldari go for tengus hands down. Avoid proteus's for PVE in WH's as its slow and painful.
Soloing the C3 sites shud'nt take you more than 15 mins a site once you get used to it and around 10 mins or less if ur dual boxing 2 legions. Each site drops approx 30 mil in blue sleeper loot and a average of 2-4 nanos per site if you do quite a few.(although this can range from 0 to 17.Which was our best result from 1 annom)

was wondering as someone got surprised when i told him people seemed to like legion a lot ; it's a HAM fit or lasers ? cause with the neut a legion must be dead quickly with lasers no ? ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Your "cookie cutter" C3 Legion fit could run 5 Heavy Pulse II, AB, Web, 2 x MAR as well as one active hardener forever with maxed out skills and two cap mods in the mids.
I'm not sure if this continues to be viable with the neut change, however.

One nice thing about amarr for long term WH occupation is that you dont have to deal with importing ammo.

2 active hardeners actually, and a spare cap booster that isn't needed for stability. Nor is Eng. Man. 5 or Rep. Sys. 5.
[Legion, cheap bastard mine 6 atm] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Armor EM Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Capacitor Power Relay II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 400 Cap Recharger II 10MN Afterburner II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers
It keeps on trucking, as ever, pimp the web first. |

If youÆre new to w-space then I suggest not starting at C3 level. If youÆre fine easily soloing lvl4 missions then look towards a C2 to start with, if not then it may be best to start with C1.
We use caldari themed ships for w-space PvE and minmatar ones for PvP. A decent drake can (slowly) solo most C2 sites, as can any decent BS fitted to task (able to kill darn fast frigs as well as big guys). Maelstrom, or typhoon, is ok in C2 but not really up to all a c3 can offer solo. If you want to do some w-space play then IÆd suggest some caldari cross-training.
Originally by: July Shine 2 What about a duo instead? what would be your choices?
Any number of options. Two drakes would be cheap and able to relatively easily chew through C2 sites. Similarly two maelstroms, typhoons, or any combination.
Originally by: July Shine 3 What about T3 ships? What would you choose for solo and duo?
Same. Tengus are very popular in w-space à prolly for good reasons. A drake, however, is way cheaper and adequate for so many low-end w-space tasks.

1) Tengu 2) Tengu 3) Tengu
I'm Gallente. I've trained Gallente. I fly Gallente. I trained Tengu specifically for w-space when it became apparent that my uber skills in hybrids, armor tanking and drones were little more than useless.
In a c1/c2 a myrm will take 45 minutes / site. A drake 30 minutes. A well fitted tengu, 10 minutes. You do the math.
I don't know Amarrian or Minmatar ships well but I'm pretty sure they rely on either autocannons or lasers. Autocannons having short ranges will require you approach your target over large distances. Kind of hard to get in range when you're webbed by +6 sleepers. Lasers, from what I understand either lack range or damage being slightly better than hybrids. So, train a tengu.
