So put out 5 extractor heads, hit start programming, click it again to see my actutal output.. 47k.
Then I throw another one on, click start programming, output 30k.

If you add 1 more on the same spot now you can get 95% efficiency(not overlapping). Both extraction heads are not overlapping but on the depletion layer they affect a bit larger area than the circle that is shown. Basically for every extractor head you add the % nerf increases. And cuz of the nature of the PI extraction system the 1h cycles are very inaccurate.
Read this Link to better understand PI extraction.

So then it must be that something like I find
  11k spot 11k spot 11k spot 11k spot 2k spot..
yet that 2k adds a 10% reduction on all extractors? So i'm loosing 4400 by doing so?

Or in other words, broken as intended.
  It should be
Head 1 full effect head 2 less effect head 3 even lesser effect head 4 even lesser lesser effect ect ect so that putting down a head can't hurt you.

Edited by: Vacrivin on 13/03/2011 18:02:58 Edited by: Vacrivin on 13/03/2011 18:00:51 Edited by: Vacrivin on 13/03/2011 18:00:25 You see, I get the concept of what most of you are saying (I think).
Oh let me state, those screenshots were taken at the same time without actually "submitting" my program. As in I installed the program, saw what I would get. Hit cancel(before submitting), then put another head down and got a lower amount. Canceled it (before submitting), removed that head and went back to my original amount.
  I just think it's broken.
  Lets say that at X A B C 1 5 10 5 2 1 10 5 3 5 5 10
and I place an extractor inbetween 1b, and 2b right on the halfway mark.
  Extractor 1 is taking 5 away from b1, and 5 from b2. Giving us an extraction value of 10 for 1 head, and leaving us with the following resources X A B C 1 5 5 5 2 1 5 5 3 5 5 10
Now I put another head down inbetween b2 and c2, so 2.5 from b2, and 2.5 from c2. Giving us 15 (10 from extractor 1), and 5 from extractor 2.
  giving us X A B C 1 5 5 5 2 1 2.5 2.5 3 5 5 10
  So now I throw a 3rd one up inbetween b2 and b3. I should get 1.25+2.50 there for a total of 18.75 (10 from head 1, 5 from head 2, 3.75 from head 3)
Instead, what i'm getting in this situation would be 10 and I am losing productivity by having that 3rd one.
