i was wanting to look through all the earrings for my female char. but the couple seconds it took each of them to load was kind of irritating. especially since you get like 5 different variations of each one (left ear, right ear, both, as well as placement). that combined with the total of 100+ made me give up at like 30. this will likely be a little less tedious when there are images for each of them, but i have an idea that take it further and would be very nice.
hair and makeup for instance has 'secondary options' (i dont know what else to call it). after selecting the style, you can choose color and intensity and the like.
for piercings, the image could be a blown up version of the earring by itself, and then after slecting the one you want, you get secondary options.
-Left, Right, Both.
-Placement, which you could probly change from having a couple selections to a slider maybe
some other things that would be nice to see:
-Color (or 'material) like silver/gold/platinum/etc
-Multiple piercings for each position. I know ears have high/low, but i am talking more than that. Nothing extreme, but at least up to 5 for ears, and 2 for brows. Even if getting more is a purchasable feature, i would be happy with it. But then the max would need to be higher, like 15 for ears, 5 maybe for brows, maybe a couple extra for other spots.
EDIT: i spent like 20 minutes typing the rest of this below, before actually checking out the tattoos for the other races (i had only messed around with gallente). i have to say i am happy with it. minmitar could do with more options, like double. and amarr isnt quite what i was thinking of, though i do like it, in fact they remind me of the old creator, though im not sure if the ones im thinking of were for amarr or not. i havent gone through the piercings or scars for the others yet, and am not really likely to until its refined some more, but hopefully there is some variance between races there as well.

i understand not wanting to restrict peoples options, and not having to have people say stuff like "but the other characters can have it, why cant i?" or such things. but you already have in a way with the amarr hoods. and on top of that, there is an RP element to the game. there is back story, and detailed descriptions of the different races and bloodlines. thats what drives my feelings for what options the different chars should have.
