The translation is amusingly quirky and I'm tempted to believe somebody might have been having a little bit of fun with you in the details there monsieur Gandry. It is a song a partizan who being told he must surrender to the invaders of his homeland decides instead to take up arms and continue the fight from the shadows of the country and tells his experiences in doing so (which include the heroism of fellow citizens). Some racial groups in the Gallente Federation (including my own) do trace their ancestry from a nation of old Earth on the other side of the Eve Gate some 20,000 years ago. These were the French that the singer associates himself with. I believe the "germans" were the invaders in a bitter war thought between the humans of that remote time and certainly suits their reference in the song. You are right to refer to the legends as folklore though monsieur Jaiga, and I certainly infer no criticism in the term. But impressive is it not that such stories echo down the ages in song and still speak to our experience today? Join the Revolution!

Living near stain, we have allies with Sansha ties. Things don't work the same way down here that they do under CONCORD. There's no such thing as overkill, only degrees of effectiveness.

I must admit, I never understood why the Minmatar and Caldari didn't share closer ties; they both understand the pain of a homeworld lost and then reclaimed through blood, honor, and fury.

Because for the Matari nothing is more important then personal freedom, in the State the well-being of the corp you work for and the State itself comes before that.
