I am very happy to announce, that Singularity is finally open for both EVE and Dust players.
You will be able to interact with Dust players and you will be able to use Singularity like always, but there are a few caveats:
- The current code on Singularity is older than the code on TQ - some stuff will be broken, which is already fixed on TQ (for example the tutorials). The latest balancing changes are also missing on Singularity
- Only very basic interaction is possible with Dust players in this version
- We know of several issues, which are already resolved in our internal development version.
- We might restrict the server again with no warning if we find any critical issues.
What's new? Chat: You can chat with Dust players in local chat (of several empire systems). - Hint: The chat UI will be improved a lot, to make it possible to recognize Dust players and to filter them Eve-Mail: You can send messages to Dust players and they will be able to respond. - Hint: Formatting will be stripped in Dust clients Market: Dust items are being listed on the market, but for now it is impossible to buy them with an EVE client.
Reporting bugs and feedback: Please do not write bug reports for problems on Singularity - but post them in this thread. Only write a bug report if asked to in a Dev reply in this thread. On one hand we already know of many issues and on the other hand we want to have one place for all the feedback. So please keep it all within this thread. Thanks!
Other info:
- Mirror: The current mirror on Singularity was taken on the 10th of August.
- Reactivating accounts: More information soon, we are trying to enable automatic reactivation of accounts
- Mass-test SP: Will be applied within the next 48 hours

Known issues:
- Transferring ISK to Dust mercs will send the ISK to the nearest black hole instead.
- Inviting a Dust merc to a private conversation or other chat channels does not work.
- Dust mercs can not join your fleet even though the option is there in the context menu.
- You canGÇÖt station trade with Dust mercs even though the option is there in the context menu.
- You can not add a bounty to Dust mercs even though the option is there in the context menu.
- Some of the Dust NPC corporations donGÇÖt have a logo yet.
- Dust mercs donGÇÖt have a portrait and will just show the default silhouette portrait.
Where to find Dust players on Singularity: You will be able to find Dust players in following systems: Kothe (Kador), Ana (Domain), Marthia (Tash Murkon), Saikanen (The Citadel), Autama (Lonetrek), Soshin (The Forge), Jolia (Sinq Laison), Adacyne (Placid), Halle (Everyshore), Egbonbet (Metropolis), Kasrasi (Derelik), and Javrendei (Heimatar) CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Game design thanks you for introducing the best ISK sink yet into EVE.

There are a lot of issues that we know need resolving (and have fixed a great many of them ready for the next release) however we are super interested in all the ways in which dust characters interacting with eve characters might be confusing or not expected. So feel free to post your discussions about that here and we will be monitoring this thread.
Cheers! CCP Nullarbor | Exotic Dancer |

Gaia Ma'chello wrote:Lets see: If I target a belt rat, wreck, or ship the targeted item icon shows as an exclamation point. CCP said they could reproduce (Mac only bug). No Customs offices. Many dust items on the market have no description, and some cannot be dragged to the chat window (remote explosives are an example of both of these bugs). The mining barges are the old barges, without the ore hold.
Interaction issue: It sure would be nice to be able to tell at a glance who is a duster and who is an egger. Maybe their color tags in chat should have rounded corners?
The EVE build is a little bit older than what is on TQ right now so its missing some mining changes.
A more detailed list of the broken items would be appreciated, as you spot them.
Player items are removed as per the usual SiSi pruning process and this includes customs offices.
The next release will have a unique appearance for dust mercenaries so you'll be able to tell the bunnies from the eggs
Thanks for the comments. CCP Nullarbor | Exotic Dancer |

Baneken wrote:Also attempting to look at EVE player stats from DUST instantly crashes the client to "internal server error", also you cannot see EVE market at all from DUST (not that we really need to from DUST perspective but still).
We are deploying a fix for this soon.
Also keep in mind the current release is no way "feature complete" in terms of the EVE / DUST link. It is a technical milestone more than a gameplay milestone. CCP Nullarbor | Exotic Dancer |

Nope. It was always the plan that these modules would be temporarily seeded and that was made clear prior to them even being seeded earlier in the summer. CCP Goliath | QA Director | @CCP_Goliath |

Guessing it's due to that No, Singularity is open again. A small fix for Dust was being deployed and this needed to be tested first before opening the server. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

It was always the plan that these modules would be temporarily seeded and that was made clear prior to them even being seeded earlier in the summer. Would you mind unseeding supers as well than? I don't really see the logic in giving access to etana/cambion, but almost no other faction ships, and supers without faction/deadspace mods?
ATX ships were an oversight. Unseeding is quite demanding of our DBAs so we will not be unseeding anything as we are extremely busy with production projects. CCP Goliath | QA Director | @CCP_Goliath |

Random workaround of the day: If you are downloading bulkdata each time you login to Sisi: Try to clear your client cache. It helped for me at least. :) CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Tiberius Patterson wrote:I'm not sure if posting this here is relevant or not but I never got my SP for the last mass test I was in. I've only ever done one mass test and it was the last one that happened, I believe, and yet I have no SP.
Also, on another topic, what happened to the availability of faction/deadspace modules in the market? As of the last mirror, not the current one, players utilizing the server could purchase said modules and ships like their T1/2 variants. Are there plans to put them back?
I can't comment on the masstest SP - that's Habakuk's domain. I can say however that there are no plans at this time to reseed faction and deadspace modules. CCP Goliath | QA Director | @CCP_Goliath |

Important questions.
When can I start to shoot the DUST bunnies?
When can I start testing the new ship changes, frigs, dessies, whatever else they have coming?
Thanks
