I have been running a Sisi client for a while now and been through several patches both through the updater and some full client downloads. Since last week the client advises me my client is out of date and offers to download a new one, when I click OK I get this:
There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status: Unable to download file test/evepremiumpatch237081-240076_test.exe from the server. Error: [Errno socket error] [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed: 'thread::getaddrinfo failed with error 11001: No such host is known.\r\n' Do you want to go to support page?
So I go to the support page and any attempt to downlaod the TQ to Sisi patch or a full sisi client download (or even the SisiLauncher Tool) are met with the following from my browser:
Firefox can't find the server at cdn1.eveonline.com.
That server name doesn't even resolve to an IP if I ping it. I have no trouble playing EVE on TQ or browsing the internet at large. Is this happening to anyone else? Any advice is appreciated.

Sever has been in VIP mode w/47 logged in since like 1600 UTC today. Must be testing something big.

My initial problem had nothing to do with the recent extended server outtage, but I admit it may not be possible to troubleshoot or correct my issue until sisi is working.

Stick that info in your HOSTS file as a workaround. If you don't know what I'm talking about, google it. --

Thanks, that seems to have sidestepped the issue. Would still be nice to know why I stopped being able to hit that server in the first place though.
