Hello there dear readers,
A rather newbish-question related to wormholes. I've read about the mass restriction on wormholes, however it is also my understanding that the class 1 wormholes act a bit different and ships allowed inside are not entirely governed by the limitations to mass. From what I've read only battlecruisers or smaller.
So my question is, what about industrial ships? Ive had an industrial into a class 1 wormholes, what about Orcas and Freighters? How do they react to this 'special' shiplimitation on class 1 wormholes.
Also, anyone happen to know if it possible to setup a large tower and build carriers & dreadnoughts in a class 1 wormhole? (not sure about the size of the capital/large assembly arrays)
For anyone with the time to spare, thanks in advance Talis

AFAIK it's still just a jump mass limit, it's just that BS hulls are all above the mass limit of c1s, so I'd expect orcas etc are too. Once you get to c5 and c6 the limit's high enough to permit true cap ships but not supercaps. But also different holes have different masses, pure theoretical example: you might get an orca into a c2 even if your static can't take it by having a dynamic spawn for a day. People certainly build cap ships in lower class w-space, and I'd expect they haul in the assembly array with just industrials if that's what one normally moves them with. |

Its a mass limit only. There are no ship type restrictions on jumping through wormholes. Most wormholes that lead to c1 have a 20 million mass limit(I think it's all of them but don't quote me on that)
You can build normal capitals as a t1 indy should fit for hauling purposes. However, it really wouldn't serve much purpose in there. POS defence would be its only real use and anyone determined enough to take out a large POS in a c1(very difficult due to the same mass mechanics) will not be deterred by a couple of capital ships. Nothing is impossible. We just haven't quite worked out how to do it yet. |
